Popped in after a walk from Hope up to Mam Tor. The cappuccino and apple cake and my partner's flapjack were excellent were actually the best coffee and cake we have had during our week in the Peak District...and we have invested heavily in how...More

This used to be The Woodbine, which was OK at best, but usually pretty poor on every level, from quality of ingredients to the service and portions. What a difference the new owners have made - it's now friendly and cosy with a limited but...More

We'd been to a music place in the hope valley and didn't know the area very well, so just looking for somewhere for brunch before we headed back to Nottingham. What a find! Great for vegans (my 14 year old daughter) and great for coffee...More

Lovely staff, delicious food and such a pretty and cozy space! They had vegan options for almost everything, checked with us how was the food, and being very kind all the time. The coffee vas nice, and the granola.... the best! Highly recommended.

Love coming to Hopper for a very decent flat white & tasty cakes or lunch. The coffee and food is always prepared with care & the prices are very fair for the quality of the ingredients. It’s beautifully & simply styled inside, and there’s always...More

We have had breakfast twice this past week and on both occasions the food has been quite delicious. Our food ranged from advocados on toast, with tomatoes and egg, to a full breakfast. We experienced friendly staff and good communication about food arrival etc. Although...More

Thanks so much for posting this review Karen. I'm glad you find our staff friendly and communication good. Hopefully next time you visit, you'll be able to enjoy one of our cakes. They are all homemade (that's why they are sometimes a bit rustic looking)!

We had a range of delicious toasted sandwiches which really hit the spot after a long morning walking and exploring. The use of really good quality local produce was evident, water was on tap to help ourselves and I had a wonderfully quirky tea. Kids...More

Thanks for reviewing us Renee and we love the title of your review - maybe we should change the grilled cheese sandwich section of the menu to that!

I had really high hopes for this cafe. It's a really nice rustic looking place and dog friendly. Found the menu to be very limited, particularly poor choice of sandwiches, pretty much only cheese or cheese and ham toasties, which was a shame as we...More

Hi I am surprised at this review given that you clearly state you enjoyed the food?! The menu is deliberately short, this means we can make sure that all dishes are fresh & great quality whilst reducing any food waste, which is something we feel...More

You are never greeted with a smile from the male in charge, just indifference verging on a haughty attitude. Very poor choice menu. No children focussed food. Ridiculous prices. £6.50 for a grilled cheese and ham sandwich & a blob of badly made coleslaw. Luke...More

Hi, I am afraid this review does not ring true for a number of reasons. You say it was your third visit and for someone so unhappy with everything in the cafe you never mentioned a problem at all. I have to ask why you...More
