Undoubtedly the best Porchetta sandwich I have had in my entire life. I have tried many Porchetta sandwiches across the world, but nothing beats the one from this place. It is a must. Try the coppiette (jerky) as well!

Ariccia is a small city in the area south of Rome referred to as the Castelli Romani. After a outstanding visit to the Palazzo Chigi, our small group of 6 were enticed to have lunch at Antico Grottino Da Fabiola. Traditionally appointed, and renowned for their Porchetta and lunchtime menu. Having an opportunity to view the offerings in the showcase... More

We were passing through Ariccia when we decided to stop for a lunch break. We stumbled across this restaurant which is quite informal and perfect for lunch. We ordered an antipasto which was simply amazing! Mozzarella di bufola, salami, parma ham, cottage cheese, other types of ham and cheeses! What else could you want?? It was simply one of the... Had an exquisite Porchetta panino with crispy and savoury Ariccia bread. One of the best ever. Friendly owners and nice service. Other good foods available too. Suggest outdoor in warm season.

We eat here at least once every time we are in Ariccia. The Amatriciana sauce is one of our favorites along with the porchetta and the other cured meats. The owner is very friendly and always gabs with us. Sometimes her cook comes out and chats with us, as well.

Heading south on our return from a St. Patrick’s weekend in Rome we followed up on a friend’s recommendation to experience the famous spicy pork of Ariccia, located south of Lago Albano. In Castel Gandolfo we were recommended to eat at Antico Grottino Da Fabiola, located in the corner of the Palazzo Chigi, Ariccia. Anyone who loves spicy baked pork... More
