Stayed 2 nights on our Dundee to Aberdeen coastal walk. Located next to the train station its a gem of a hotel. Great food and a massive selection of whiskies in the lounge bar Rooms were spotless and all the staff were so so friendly....Breakfasts were amazing. A massive shout out to whoever does the omlettes in the morning, have to say the best ever I have tasted ( and believe me i have had a few)More

A few mates and I met there for some food. Service was good, with a smile and they were attentive without being overly so. Ordered the chicken Panko (I think) and it was really good. Another friend had the steak and ale/Guinness pie. And we...were all very happy. Good portions, hot and tasty food. The rest of the menu looked good as well, but the chicken is good. And their coleslaw is a winner! You must have that too.More

Great lunch with family from Glasgow, I had the Cullen Skink which was fabulous followed by the Haddock and chips, and looking at the other meals served to my wife and in-laws they looked just as nice, these ranged from the special burger to the...Chilli bowl, the service by Lynne and her team was great, my mother in Law took the pensioners portion Steak Pie which was just right for her, a special dayMore

After returning to stonehaven after 3 years away I went to the station for some lunch and drinks with friends, food was terrific as it’s always been if not better, although the staff had changed they were as friendly as ever, can’t wait to visit...again.More

Been going to the Station Hotel for years, can always guarantee a lovely meal, staff very friendly, the bar is very welcoming and entertaining at times too, always get a laugh with the locals. Food is amazing, varied menu also so caters to most tastes,...plentiful portions and fantastic quality. Overall my absolute 100% place to go to for a meal or even just a sociable drink.More

My friends and I have been visiting for years. Every time is just as good as the previous. The bar and lounge area has a great atmosphere and cosy feel, with the friendly staff always topping off the experience. The food has never let us...down over the years and will be continuing to enjoy the great quality food they serve.More

Popped in past with some friends for a few social drinks and a meal. Very pleasant ambiance topped off with excellent food. Would highly recommend in Stonehaven and will be back again.

Poor show that a regular - weekly customer since way before Covid is not valued by this establishment… Our booking was Bumped from the quiet dining room to the busy and noisy bar - no consideration at all given that some in the party have...hearing issues and the bar was totally unsuitable for dining and conversation. So after spending a short time in the noisy bar area we left and went somewhere that does care about its customers! 🥰 But one thing is sure, because of your attitude we won’t be back! You probably don’t care but you’ve lost a regular source of income! A tip for you - if you care to learn! In future value your regular customers as they are your bread and butter! But you’ve lost us now!More

New to the area and trying out some local restaurants. The Station is rated number 2 in Stonehaven and having tried some of the others further down the list - we were excited to eat here. It was really quite disappointing - the environment is...dated, the food pretty unexciting and whilst the staff were quick - they were disinterested. The food arrived fast, wine list very limited and we were out in less than 45 minutes. Can’t quite understand why it has such high ratings - there are several much better restaurants in the area.More
