My husband had the steak with veggies and I had the chicken & spinach enchiladas with a side of spinach salad. Both meals were excellent. We have made reservations again for next week.

Chef Alex prepares superb dishes with imagination and care. The desserts are also spectacular. Service is personable and attentive. After several visits to La Manzanilla we often wind up here for a reliably good meal.

Started with the house salad and the calamari. Both great. Calamari was not the usual little rings but the larger (filet?) part with a spicy mayo. Went downhill with the macadamia crusted dorado which lacked appreciable macadamias and was very over cooked. Hate going to...More

We visited La Manzanilla for 4 days in a house rental. We dined at Cafe de Flores one night , upstairs overlooking street. There was a live quitar player or such. The menu looked great, prices higher than expected for area but not unreasonable. We...More

Enjoy Chef Alex's fantastic culinary skills in this little, out of the way fishing village. World class dining at vey good prices, compared to North of the Border. My favourite foods are everything, but her calamari and salads are so creatively scrumptious. Her mother Mary's...More

Love this little gem of a restaurant in the small town of La Manzanilla. It is family run and owned. The mother, Mary, is the bakery chef, the father is the bartender and the daughter, Ales is the chef. She studied in the states and...More

Great authentic food. I had the Fish tacos and they were great. Yummy pico de gayo sauce with mango. Staff was very accommodating to our group of 13. Good service and ambiance. I will be back some day. Desserts were Devine by the way.

While not usually shocked by the behavior of waiters, this one had them all beat. I asked for mineral water, with pineapple juice, and rum. All separate, what do I get? Regular water in a glass with ice. No big deal, so I asked again...More
