The Bugle is one of those places that you could find on a picture post-card, or even a period drama shoot. It has everything going for it in terms of its setting and kerb appeal.. Nestled in the tiny fishing hamlet of Bugle, it’s just...More

Visited on Tuesday night, very pleasant, would like to have seen maybe more fish dishes. Staff very friendly and attentive. Also quite busy for a weekday night. Would recommend.

Nice choice of eating areas - bar, restaurant, terrace and even a private dining room. Enjoyed the broad lunch menu, board specials and the “own brand” bitter. Unfortunately the handrail on the terrace is at head height and projecting inward so select your seat carefully....More

Nice relaxed atmosphere, outdoor seating (slight wasp issue but just the weather/time of year) we had sunday roast dinners, wine and desert, all very nice and good size portions.

Hospitality from staff is very very good but the food lets this top rated pub down . I’m not saying it’s bad I’m just saying it’s just ok but should be so much better given it’s position .

Hi Claire C, Only the bar (no food) at The Bugle is open on Christmas Day, usually between 12-2 but this will be confirmed on our website closer to Christmas. Hope this helps.
