Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great establishment”Amanjiwo “ Created decades ago by a flamboyant Indonesian hotelier wanting to create the perfect holiday option for the wealthy Alas the buildings, rooms, suites and surroundings still adhere to the original concept,,,but the food and catering in general have fallen to a level that drags...the rest down Bearing in mind that this resort is like an island with little access to the rest of Bali, the 3 daily meals become somewhat of a holiday highlight and priority What a disappointment The supposedly international menu did not offer any of Asias 2 most famous and popular cuisines India and Thailand are brutally neglected whilst Spaghetti and Gnocchi along with many other Italian”standards”are featured If the Indonesian and other international dishes were properly cooked to a decent standard one might forgive But they are sadly well below standard in an Establishment that should excel considering the cost of being incarcerated without any other gastronomic option Please Mr Doronin don’t destroy the dream and success of Mr Zecha Sort out your kitchens and return AMAN to its former reputation with high class international cuisine not the present nightmareMore

The amanjiwo hotel is just amazing! Even though it was built some time ago, they maintained it very well. Every detail was paid attention to, the service was excellent, the meals were beautiful (tastes good too), and the view was amazing.

We had lunch there We find it rather taken by surprised when we drove into the hotel, we were “warned” of the pricing of the restaurant minimum spending, we were shown the restaurant menu with prices. Unsure if we should be offended by that gesture,...what do you all readers think? We were unsure the purpose of the hotel carrying it out such information to the walk in guests We were warned of minimum spending per person was 350k. Food was just okay. Decent portion. Again, we were there just for the view and enjoying its quietness only. Lovely staffs and service Old but still nice property We were shown the villas. Again, it’s rather old establishment, but well maintained. Beautiful garden and view of borobudur Visiting once for its experience sufficedMore

They serve burger jiwo with nice salsa sauce and we can ask for extra pickles. The bun is very fresh, the vegetables as well. Something funny just because we are indonesian so they serve it with chili sauce and tomato sauce. I ask to take...it out. :DMore

I turned up on a motorcycle with my wife with a view to having a drink, checking out the menu, and probably have a meal. The very polite and embarrassed security guard asked if we had a reservation. We explained we wanted to take a...look, have a drink, and probably have a meal. He looked further embarrassed, and produced a list with minimum cover charges on it - 550,000 for dinner. Which is pricey by local standard, but no big deal internationally. Okay, we said we’ll take a look. He appeared further embarrassed, and said we’d have to pay it regardless of whether we ate or not. I can only assume this is to keep riff raff out - we were both smartly dressed, and can easily afford to eat there, but wouldn’t be paying 550,000 just to look at a menu. I assume the very nice guard was just doing his job, and I didn’t want to push the matter. We did try looking at the menu on the website, Dining “Reservations” only takes you to book a room.More

I went to amanjiwo for my birthday celebration., the resort is fabulous in its own way. Traditional vibes with eye pleasing interior. The restaurant is beyond the lobby ., not so large and spacey., but enough for personal space. The dishes are okay to my...opinion., okay plating., quite delicious taste. The Portion is above standart, bigger than the other fine dining restaurant. The prices are definitely higher ., since they are an international resort. The service was okay., but i think they are too occupied with “the not guest” visitor. They are watching you , quite uncomfortable .More

Stayed in the property for two days and breakfasts in this restaurant were amazing! The western fares were good but love the Indonesian options the best. We have tried all of the items on the menu and all of them were presented well and tasted...even better. The best part of this restaurant was the service and care that you get from each and every member of the staff and the incredible views were just the icing on the cake! I hope to come back again next year!More

Okay, let's go and found the place amazing with the front and back view! wow architecture when entering the main gate, looked through the building there is a tiny spot, Borobudur temple! i didnt realized after Ardi informed us about.
