12:30pm Thursday. Pub deserted, had to wander through several rooms before locating someone. No signage outside, fully set up for meals inside. Not serving good today, it’s only me and the missus and she’s not here. We’d travelled nearly 100km for this meal, as reviewed...in the Melbourne Herald Sun. Heading to Peterborough, see if we can find a meal there.More

We had not been here for close to 30 years. Loved that they still had the charm of an old fashioned country pub. Poor owner was working basically on his own. It was very busy, but was impressed how he handled it. Hopefully won’t be...as long before we come back.More

we had dinner there since our B&B was very near and this was the only option around. You need to order food before 7.30pm sharp otherwise they will not serve you, so we made sure to get there early. as we walked in it felt...we were just interrupting local guys having a chat at the bar, and we did not feel welcome at all. after asking if we could order food we were told to check the blackboard for the menu and to pick a table in what is probably the dirtiest dining room i have seen. I think it has not been cleaned in years. tons of dead bugs everywhere. anyway, as i said we did not really have any back up plans so we ordered dinner, one chicken parm and one fish and chips. It was only us two in the room, and yet food took over 40minutes to come. plates were generous and not particularly well presented, but we did not mind as long as it was good. and it was not bad at all, even if the chicken parm has a slightly weird sweet taste. we were overall satisfied with dinner, it did the job. not cheap though, each dish coming at 28$ a piece, so 67$ for two including a glass of wine each... not cheap at all, I would probably expect a slightly better service at this price. it was still kind of fun to experience this proper deep country australian pub, but most probably we would not come back next time in the area.More

Been there before and the meals were excellent Been probably 10 years since last visit and I was expecting same. I guess times change ordered a meal and was not real filling. Was ok but for price was not real happy

We really enjoyed a home style meal at this Pub. Fresh flake (grilled or beer battered) with a choice of vegetables or salad. All ingredients were fresh and nicely cooked. The place is quite busy and the beer on tap is good! Would stop again.

My partner and I had an excellent steak and Parma. I would even say it was the best Parma I've ever had! Great country food with great countryside views!

The drive to Boggy Creek is interesting and when you get there you are greeted warmly, we had reservations so I don't know if this is necessary, the food was excellent and for such an out of the way place the choice was good
