We booked for lunch for 8 guests and was welcomed by friendly staff that liked a good joke. Enjoyed our meal. Was a little disappointed at wine tasting. He didn't seem to be well organised. Only one gentleman serving tastings and a couple of the wines were not available as they were not cold. Not keeping up with stock in the fridge. For a long weekend this would be essential as there were many people going through the cellar doors while we were there.

Thank you 251mareep for your 5-star review. We're glad you enjoyed your lunch and we're sorry you were a little disappointed by the wine tasting, definitely not our usual standard. We were extremely busy the entire Winter, due to so many people travelling within QLD thanks to Covid, and were very understaffed. We would love you back anytime for another wine tasting :)

Book lunch and a wine tasting, which did not fail to impress, the staff were friendly and informative, they knew wines and the history of the vineyard. Food was lovely with locally sourced ingredients. We will be back again. Highly recommend this location on your itinerary of wine tasting.

Easily one of the best Wineries on the Granite Belt. My wife and I dropped into Jester Hills Winery late afternoon, so we decided to try a tasting, Jester Hills Winery is a family run Winery.
They are knowledgeable and have passion for their product. They are very welcoming even when you have small children. Our children were happy playing out on the lawn with another couple children and watched over by a very ( winery) friendly dog.
The tasting cost $10.00 AUD the price come off when you purchase their Wines.
I can't recommend Jester Hills Winery enough especially when other Winery's are opened on selected days.

I’ve visited almost every Granite Belt Winery and this was by far the worst experience I’ve had at any of them. We deliberately chose to support as many local businesses as we could for our annual wine trip to show our support after such tough times for the region. This is the only one that didn’t offer exceptional hospitality and didn’t appreciate our custom. After a year of planning they almost ruined our day.
Due to an unforeseen change in our schedule we arrived much later than expected for our pre-booked lunch. While our bus driver had let them know and we should have been punctual, in spite of our most genuine apologies the reception we got was colder than any Granite Belt winter.
They almost didn’t give us lunch but the lady started doing some tastings ... while they were nowhere near as good as the wines we enjoyed before and after this stop, we bought some as a gesture of goodwill to go with lunch. We thanked them for their efforts and besides some of the kitchen staff who delivered our meals there was barely a smile to be seen. The food was very ordinary. One of our group of 15 was still eating when they took her pizza away. Some friends we knew who happened to be there before us said they had been trashing us to customers before we arrived.
Thankfully, afterwards, Martin at Ridgemill Estate saved the day by being very welcoming with the added bonus that their wines were superb.
I’d strongly recommend giving Jester Hill Wines a miss if you’re looking for quality wines and customer service.

Hi Daniel. thank you for taking the time to review Jester Hill. It clearly was an unfortunate day for your group. Yes you did book a year in advance and that was appreciated. You booked in for lunch for a 130pm time slot. I received a distressed call from the driver at 115pm saying that you had pressured him into a visit to an additional winery. That said I stated that due to COVID regulations we were restricted to numbers in the venue and that they needed to be here by 2pm and also that the kitchen closes at 230pm. By 225pm you hadn’t arrived. I contacted the tour group owner as I was concerned that I would be keeping the staff on for extra time to ensure you had your lunch and a wine tasting experience. When you group arrived it was right on the kitchen closing time and exactly 1 hour late. You had preordered which is the usual practice for groups of your size of 15. As a gesture aimed at providing some humour in a challenging situation I welcomed you with a ‘Hi guys thanks for coming but I am really sorry the kitchen is closed but we will certainly look after you and in return you can buy heaps of wine’. The rest of your group saw the funny side. All in all it was disrespectful to be an hour late in a challenging environment as it is at the moment. Your visit ended on a good note when a large number of your group came to find me and tell me that they we really appreciative of being looked after and apologised for being late and that they didn’t realise the time that lunch was booked. They were clearly embarrassed. In addition the Tour Group owner came and assisted to ensure the kitchen staff got away at a reasonable time.
Please think about this experience when next you plan a trip away 😊
The good thing is we know we have plenty of happy customers who appreciate small boutique wineries with a great product made from the heart and run totally by family.

We visited first up in the morning, but could have stayed all day. Mick and Ann run and maintain a great establishment. We enjoyed the variety of wines, it was a no-brainer to join their wine club and a beaut coffee was a wonderful way to complete the visit. Special thanks to Ann (and Mick on the mower)!

We visited Jester Wines on the weekend and we were 2 couples and we were extremely happy. Out of the 7 wineries we visited on the Granite Belt on the weekend and Jester Wines was our favourite. Their wines were magnificent and the food was amazing 5 out of 5 stars.

Such a well presented cellar door and amazingly friendly staff. Beautiful custom built furniture. We could have sat there all day with a wine in hand watching the kids play. A must see!

We've been to the Granite Belt many times but this was our first visit to Jester Hill. The service in the tasting room was friendly, helpful and very good. They have a solid range of nice wine here and some interesting label artwork to match. We thought it was a good 'find'. We'll be back.

Lots of vineyards. Lovely place to stop. Gorgeous quiet dong, who is everyone’s friend as resident. We had good selection of snacks. The wine tasting was superb with some good red& white wines. Definitely should stop here.

Stopped in for a wine tasting - the grounds are beautiful and the cellar door is comfortable - the kind of place you could easily spend the afternoon. The wines are delicious- definitely worth a stop if you are in the region

This was our second visit to Jester Hill, and it didn't disappoint! Mick is an engaging, entertaining and proud wine-maker and host, and always manages to elicit a few good laughs from his visitors. He is relatable and knowledgeable without being pretentious, and his products are excellent. I would definitely recommend a visit to Jester Hill when visiting the Granite Belt!
