Wrote my review on the b&b page sorry :) anyway amazing little pub. Always greeted my friendly staff that go above and beyond what they need to do as bar staff. Always accommodating customers needs. New menu is fab and portion size is good. Fantastic range of cask ales in which staff are knowledgable on. Defiantly he returning soon.

Having won a raffle prize of meal for four and a bottle of wine at the Queens head we made our first visit on Saturday 13 may. We couldn't fault the place, the atmosphere and service was excellent. The meal was gorgeous we all chose different mains and each one of us thoroughly enjoyed it. Unfortunately we were too full... More

We have visited several times, but not for a few years, and were surprised how much the pub had changed. The focus used to be on the beer, with quite a traditional atmosphere, but this time there was much more emphasis on food and family groups having meals. I think we preferred the previous atmosphere, but there is no arguing... More

Been visiting here for a few years on and off at easter on a boat trip from Notts. Beer always good with a wide selection of real ales. Place went down hill a few years ago but has had a refit and looking great. Dog friendly and good food

We visited the Queens Head for a Monday evening pub meal after my wife visited for a business function. Both the service and food are excellent, we both chose the garlic mushrooms to begin (which were a meal on there own), I then opted for the homemade cheeseburger and my wife went for the beef stew. Both main courses were... More

I have visited the queens on many occasions but today we for a Sunday roast for the first time, which was very tasty and good value for money. The deserts were beautiful also. The staff are brilliant and the pub is always welcoming and allows dogs in a certain area. We will be going for food again

We ate sunday lunch here and all i can say about the meal was it was just ok, barely, the food was hard and under cooked. We couldn't wait to get out of the place the loud women in the bar put you off. Won't visit here again.

We have been going here for a few years but are really disappointed at the downturn in in the quality and choice of food. Prices have gone up but having tried it a few times now we shall not return for food. Having said that the real ales are still good and well priced.

Great hospitality from the staff. Had Sunday lunch which was lovely, lots of meat, fresh veg, roast potatoes and the Yorkshire pudding was the best. Great outdoor area too.
