We came for lunch a few weeks ago, and we couldn't resist we went back. We confirm the pleasure of having lunch in a welcoming location, the truly inviting menu with appetizing dishes where it always becomes difficult to make a choice. Both the starters and the first and second courses are appetising. This time too we preferred to be led by the staff, in the arduous choice, who in a professional and knowledgeable way were able to leave us speechless. We chose a trio of starters, namely flan with leeks, pie with potatoes and mushrooms and artichoke with fjords milk, needless to say all really interesting and not at all banal, we continued with two first courses of cabbage spaghetti with a truly amazing flavor and finally ravioli. We concluded with the Christmas dessert, a truly pleasant discovery. More than generous portions, genuine products, inviting aromas, flavors and colours, excellent value for money. On our way back from Longi we often pass by this place, promising ourselves every time to try its cuisine; well today that day has arrived! The structure is very beautiful, clean and elegant... on the terrace a small swimming pool overlooking the Aeolian Islands, and so far nothing to complain about. But we are here to try the cuisine!! I'll keep it short... ancient spinning mill appetizer and excellent porcini mushroom pie... first course of potato ravioli with truffle cream and flaked truffle superlative... pork fillet with berry sauce and caramelized apples good yes but a little poor with an almost non-existent potato side dish. Good desserts and an amazing cellar. Lots of staff in the room, attentive and thoughtful in satisfying every request. Personally, I didn't like just one thing: if I choose to go for lunch/dinner in a place where you spend almost 100 euros per person for a complete meal and a modest bottle of wine, I expect to find a more intimate and less noisy atmosphere.. . the point always in my humble opinion is: either lower the prices or reduce the covers.

Warm welcome and efficiency and punctual services are the real asset of the Antica Filanda. Professionalism and attention to detail in hospitality are the added value of the structure. Everyone makes you feel at ease. Finally, the cuisine is really excellent even if it is exclusively meat-based, but then again in Capri Leone you don't go to eat fish. The only flaw, if you can call it that, is that the structure is also home to whitebait which could sometimes clash with the relaxation requested and desired by the guests. We still had a lot of fun.

A few days ago we decided to have lunch in this restaurant, the place is truly relaxing with a beautiful view of the sea and part of the Aeolian Islands. The very large structure, in the warmer periods you can also eat outside with a breathtaking view and swimming pool. What really makes the difference is the very varied and particular menu, we let ourselves be guided by the staff and I must say that the choice was a winner, the three starters were excellent such as the breaded egg, the mushroom cappuccino which was really tasty and light, the aubergine tasty and inviting, not least the first courses, even in this case the choice is vast, and so we asked for advice. The choice went for homemade tagliolini with mushrooms, a simple dish but absolutely worth taking, the pistachio ravioli can't even be described. Naturally the menu is vast and also very inviting because the dishes take shape among flavors and aromas that leave you breathless. Even for the dessert the choice was difficult, all inviting and particular, we chose ricotta millefeuille with truly excellent orange marmalade and a bread and milk dessert which we can guarantee is delicate, tasty, not at all obvious. The wine list and variety of bread are also excellent. Professional, kind, knowledgeable staff who can recommend decidedly unique and non-trivial dishes with the freshest products.

We always stop by Filanda when we are on holiday and treat ourselves to a journey into taste. The dishes always have an exceptional balance of flavors,

There are some places in the world where kindness of people and genuine hospitality melts one's heart. This is exactly how we felt in Antica Filanda, where we also had the pleasure of staying for one night. The location is relatively remote but worth traveling to as the views from room balconies are stunning and one can sleep soundly without any disruptions. But it is the food and the extensive wine cellar (highly skilled sommelier with extensive knowledge of local wines!) combined with vibrant, family oriented service that makes this place a true Michelin Bib Gourmand spot worth travelling to. We were blown away by the new version of La nuova Parmigiana and the incredible selection of 'historic' ANTIPASTO ALL'ANTICA FILANDA. Pastas were beautifully prepared, cooked and served with a generous topping of truffles. Make sure you have space for dessert as Fragolata con gelato fior di latte is something that can't be missed. In fact, we loved it so much that we mentioned we would love it for breakfast the next day... and to our delight, it was made for us once again the following morning! Absolutely unforgettable and can't wait to go back!

The breakfast with sea view was simply gorgeous, making every morning an unforgettable start.

When we return to the area, the Antica Filanda is a fixed stop for us and every time it is a certainty and at the same time a discovery!
We have always had a wonderful time, from the friendly and attentive service to the cuisine which has evolved and improved over the years, maintaining great classics and introducing new dishes to the menu.

The place is quiet. The restaurant is excellent with an elaborate wine list.
There is secure parking available for €10 per night.
Breakfast was better 3 years ago when we went there.
There is also a swimming pool but it was not open during our stay.

Antica Filanda is in a lovely setting, with a beautiful view from on high of the sea and the Eolian islands. Our seaview room was spacious and comfortable, but we went there mostly for the food, which certainly did not disappoint! You won’t need to visit any other restaurant as there is a wide variety of choice (except seafood). 😊
The owners and staff are friendly and helpful and will help make your stay enjoyable.

As always, the ancient spinning mill offers great food and a great location with a view.
I recommend going to lunch to enjoy the view.
The staff is very knowledgeable and very helpful.

I have been going to the old spinning mill, restaurant and hotel with my family for 15 years now. The quality of their products remains excellent, but above all it is the ability to welcome and pamper customers that remains high. Antica filanda has a splendid view of the Aeolian Islands, the rooms are spacious, simple and in our case with a small panoramic balcony. However, the restaurant area is internal. Kindness and professionalism of the staff, but above all excellent dinner, with top quality meats and dishes that are simple but refined. Absolutely recommended experience.

We stayed at this property without knowing what we expected, as we had to take part in an organized cycling tour in the area: it was a wonderful surprise! Enchanting place, breathtaking view, despite a light haze. Very kind, competent and professional staff, from the owners to the waiters to the ladies who take care of cleaning the rooms. The restaurant is excellent: dishes presented in an original way and with a simply unique flavour.
