Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Have just visited before current owners leave. Had a beautiful meal. Scallops and fish were cooked to perfection. Wish you the best.

The location is fantastic though hard to find parking. The restaurant is cosy and welcoming. The service is almost good but one of the lady bit abrupt. The chicken is exceptional, the lobster is ok. Lots of spaghetti which is not cook well. Some of...them are clinging together and the sauces is way too rich. Need some lemon and rind to freshen is a little along with parsley/herbs.More

The menu is small. I suspect for a reason. What’s on it, is done to perfection. The food is amazing. The drinks excellent. The ingredients the best you can imagine. The staff caring and very attentive. All-in-all a little gem. Reservations a must.

On the back of COVID restrictions lifting we started to get back to catching up with friends. Clareville Kiosk was the first on the list to try. Outstanding food and service, wine list a surprising bonus for a small restaurant, and a great home feel....Simply outstandingMore

Hands down the most divine dining experience we have had . The pumpkin soup ( yes, boring old pumpkin soup ) left us wanting to lick our bowls. The flavours in our mains were so perfectly balanced it was too hard to choose a favourite....We will be back before you need to book months in advance. The setting is really charming and the staff are wonderful too !More

Nice little “kiosk”, but inside it’s actually a full restaurant. Do far we only had take away, but was delicious ! Friendly service too. Love to come for dinner one day

A lazy Sunday lunch with friends could not have been more enjoyable at the Clareville Kiosk. Welcoming and professional staff, delicous food and a totally charming environment. Loved the retro prawn dish, the barramundi was delicious and beautifully presented on a tangy capsicum sauce. Two...in our party had the beef fillet steak which was super tender and perfectly cooked. And you'll find it hard to pass up the very 'more-ish' fries. All together a delightful experience. Well done Nathan and Jessica for keeping a lovely restaurant going through challenging times. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟More

My wife called to make a reservation for us and was told to call back at a certain time to confirm. She did this and was then told that the table had been given to someone else, that she had been messaged by email. My...wife was not aware of this and was rudely told the she should check her emails. The owner of the cafe, who answered the call, then hung up. I called then to understand the situation, politely, and the owner then hung up on me too! We were both shocked by the very poor customer attitude. Of course we will never go back there.More

Celebratory birthday family lunch for hubby's birthday. Opted for 2 courses, entree & mains. In hindsight should have done mains & dessert. Can't fault quality of food, though serving size was a tad small.

It used to be off the beaten track and by the looks of it, still is. Used to be cozy and comfortable. Looking out for other reviews to decide whether or not to make a visit.

Its just a small house straight out of Leura. Winter sun shining through the sash windows. Just two room, a charming weatherboard cottage with absolutely lovely waitress and manager. It is hidden just off the water's edge among the lush green foliage. romantic to the...extreme. It is Sunday lunchtime so there is the choice of three Sunday roasts with all the trimmings. Just perfect. We just walked in without booking although i am not sure you could count on that. And it is a set price of $49 for two courses.More

I have been keen to visit this restaurant for several years and recall that it was the location of a ‘ corner ‘ store fifty years ago and sold everything from bait to chocolate bullets, the only local shop on the Pittwater shore near Avalon....It still has no competition but has moved up market and still has a captive audience. The local council has ( and is ) undertaking significant works at the beachfront. The park is worth a visit throughout daylight hours and for great sunsets. Sadly while I found the service excellent and food unusual ( the chilled octopus for example ) the bill certainly is eye watering as other diners comment. Wines are expensive and servings small unless you add extras. I also found that despite ordering two two course meal, we were charged for one course we did not order. Attempts to correct this fell on deaf ears despite promised action. So check your bill carefully at point of payment.More

We were so looking forward to our night out @ Clareville Kiosk. It certainly has many of the ingredients for success, no serious competition, great location, small venue where you can hear one another. Service was great, very professional & attentive but not intrusive BUT...the meals were a massive disappointment. Nothing inventive unless you call vegemite flavoured butter something special warranting an eye watering bill. Meals were very average & very, very small warranting additional orders. It is hard to believe in this day & age with such an abundance of good produce, high level good value restaurants, access to easy to follow recipes & inspiring shows & chefs that this restaurant can serve such low level, average & very small meals & charge a fortune. As an example, a slice of eggplant with a few seeds on top is considered gourmet. Have the chefs not been exposed to what other restaurants are offering? I suggest they try a few restaurants out of the northern beaches area such as inner west & try & bring some freshness, value & innovation to the kiosk.More

We live locally and love that’s we can get such delicious food at reasonable prices. We recently went...for the mid-week special. We loved it! Food and wine was fab!! We recommend Clareville Kiosk to all our friends!! We’ll be back again soon.More
