Well if you are one that really needs a chic and modern ambiance to enjoy your meal I don't recommend eating there as the decor hasn't changed since 1972. But if you are someone that likes well made old school french cuisine, you'll enjoy it. The seafood and meat dishes are truly amazing. I had the "tournedos au 3 poivres"... More

The restaurant as an old vintage house on the ocean. The view is beautiful around a restaurant and when looking inside .I like a table near a big window ..as a panorama view. The food is very good,a staff and a service are excellent.I really like this small restaurant and have a good time here.

Great view, but dated decor that was from the 70's and musty. Food and service was slow, food surprisingly was not that great for the expensive prices. I saw a server pouring wine from a bottle into a funnel ... Not sure if they were recycling wine. Hope not.

Extraordinary service. Exceptional view. Best sea food platter ever. I would go back any time. Whish it was close to my place.

I was at “La Fine Grobe-sur-Mer” for Valentine’s Day with my wife and some friends and although I really enjoyed the atmosphere and food, I felt that it was simply way overpriced for what we got. The service was OK without being warm and inviting like I expected from this quaint little bed & breakfast type restaurant although I appreciated... More

The food is delicious and the restaurant has great options of wine. The chef is very nice and friendly. The installation is old but comfortable. My shrimp was amazing.

I had high expectations, having heard good things about this place since I had left the North Shore of New Brunswick in the 1970s. It was a disappointment. Vinyl tablecloths and cheap dollar store cutlery, track lights, dirty flooring and dusty cushions on the chairs; the decor hadn't been updated since the 70s and neither had the menu or the... More

Quaint little auberge in the middle of nowhere on the bay de chaleur. Beautiful setting and views. Be prepared for a leisurely meal and long waits between courses. The food was very good and for the most part perfectly cooked. I had escargots which tasted just like the ones I had in Paris. The desserts were delicious. The lamb and... More

Moved to area from New York City, interrupted by 6 month stay in Halifax, in late 1970's. At that time this was the only fine dining for 40 miles in any direction. Primarily a seafood restaurant serving local catches. Service was 1st class and the view over the Bay of Chaleur was to die for. The view is still there,... More
