Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The pool was refreshing. It is in a great spot close to The small town of Jabiru. It was great to be able to get some drinks and dinner in the outback. The BBQ’s needed attention - cleaning and maintenance wise.

We were staying at another venue but discovered the relaxed atmosphere at the poolside restaurant as a great eating option. Cannot say anything about facilities or amenities but the food and staff that we dealt with were great.

Kakadu is an amazing place and to be able to relax in a tourist park like the Aurora Kakadu Lodge & Caravan Park was terrific. Facilities were great, cabin was neat, clean and always kept us cool and the pool and bar/bistro very satisfying. Highly...recommend this place if looking to base yourself in Jabiru.More

Smooth friendly checkin. Good amenities. Lovely pool & bar area. Lots of space between vans and mostly on lawns. Tours collect from here.

We didn’t stay at the Kakadu Lodge this trip but had dinner at the restaurant one night. The food was nice but overpriced for what it was (even taking into account the remoteness of the location). The main problem we had was flies. We (somewhat...foolishly) ordered shortly before sunset. When the food came out at sunset we were absolutely overrun by flies). We spent the entire meal swatting them off our food-without success. We could see everyone around us were doing the same. I strongly recommend eating there later in the evening to avoid the issue.More

We only stayed one night to rest after a long day exploring Kakadu but we’re so glad we stayed here. This park is so well looked after. Loved the gardens, pool and outdoor restaurant. We stayed in a cabin and it was the cleanest cabin...I have ever stayed in with everything you need. The air conditioning worked so well which was a relief from the humidity of the NT. Highly recommend staying here when visiting Kakadu.More

We stayed two nights at Kakadu Lodge. We had a "family" cabin with a queen, set of bunk beds and a trundle, all provided a good nights sleep, The cabins could use a refresh. The bathrooms are really small and outdated the shower has good...water pressure, but has a shower curtain that you constantly fight off while showering. This also results in a wet floor. The AC worked well for a July stay. The cabin also included a table and 4 chairs (1 in cabin 1 outside on cabin deck), a small closet for your suitcases (our family left our large suitcases in our rental van and brought in small bags we had packed with the clothes and toiletries we we would need for our 3 night stay in the park-this worked well for us-all of our baggage wouldn't have fit), a TV and kitchenette (full size refrig, microwave, sink and cooking utensils in a couple of drawers). We bought water drinks, snacks and a cheap cooler in Darwin. The refrigerator enabled us to use less ice. The cabin was adequate, but is in need of a refresh. We ate dinner once at the resort restaurant and it was fine, Anabinik is a short walk down the road and provides another option for meals. I checked out Anabinik's cabins though the decor is also tired, there is considerably more room in their family cabins. They have two separate bedrooms, a bathroom and common area. At Kakadu you have one room with all beds and kitchenette and the small bathroom.More

This is the place to stay when doing the Jabiru end of Kakadu, good park, good facilities, lovely pool area, easy access to the East Alligator and Ubirr. But forget the restaurant, very average meals at very expensive prices. Seriously, the place doesn’t have 2...hats. Thank goodness for the Thai restaurant across the road at Anbinik. Beware also the noisy tour groups and the out of control school kids.More

Just a wonderful to visit, relax, bushwalking and even canoe. The camping ground is clean and tidy. Facilities are fair and the pool amazing after a long bush walk. You must canoe the gorge and see the fresh water crocs 🐊. Take a swim and...also enjoy the waterfall on the way. Just pull your canoe up on the sand and take the walk to the private water hole Lily pond.More
