On the last evening of my holiday we had supper at the Three Tuns Inn. The food was fantastic. I had the burger followed by sticky toffee pudding for dessert. I would highly recommend eating here while staying in Bishop's Castle.

Staying over on a Saturday night, we walked up to the top of the village and intended to work our way down through each of the pubs. This was our first stop. Made up of four rooms, the first two and small, dark with roaring...More

The beers brewed onsite are excellent. The menu selection was very good and service was terrific. The main bar was the better place to eat. The room out the back lacked atmosphere

Ate hear while staying at the Castle Hotel up the road. The Three Tuns has an incredible atmosphere and is probably the best pub in the village... a good mix of locals and visitors, an extensive and reasonably priced menu, and a fantastic selection of...More

On our trek into Powys....we booked this place for a fine evening meal, and by golly it was. The pub held so much historical charm that it propelled me back into the 18th century.....the locals, given we were strangers engaged us in banter as if...More

We visited the three tuns with local friends for lunch and we had a lovely table reserved for us in the window, next to the fireplace. The inn serves 4 types of beer that they themselves brew. We tried three of them and loved the...More

Great choice of home brewed ales with subtle taste differences. Atmosphere in the pub was great with the separate bar areas catering for those eating those in large groups or couples and small groups. Easy to find a seat and welcoming staff.

I enjoyed the recommended 3 Tuns fish and chips with a pint of their own brew. The other people in my company also enjoyed their meals

The famous and historic Three Tuns Inn, (known locally as 'The Tuns') set at the top of Bishops Castle has been open since 1642! A deceptively large interior offers lounge, conservatory, snug, front bar and function room. Standing on the site of the oldest licensed brewery in the U.K, The Tuns offers modern eclectic cuisine using simple locally sourced ingredients in a happy, friendly, bustling environment and of course serves a wonderful array of real ales from the on site brewery. Pub and brewery are now separate businesses, but work very closely together to help create a truly worthwhile and memorable visit to this hidden gem of a market town, hidden away in the Shropshire hills, designated an area of outstanding natural beauty.
