This was our second visit and it definitely did not disappoint .
They offer a three course set menu but if you advise any dietary requirements before hand they will look after you .
We had three exquisite dishes of a very high standard and also did the wine tasting which is seated and consists of a flight of five wines for $10 which was a great experience as well.
It is a busy little restaurant and I would only have one small negative comment which my husband mentioned.
After going to the toilets he said they were a bit dirty , no soap or paper towel and didn’t seem well-maintained.
The ladies toilets seemed fine though.
Love this place and highly recommend

Over the past decade (or more!) we have spent many wonderful afternoons wining and dining at this special venue, and it has become our 'go to' spot whenever we have guests from out of town.
Our first visit to Hackersley blew us away, and we were left wondering how a restaurant of this quality had flown under our radar. Everything, from the food and wine, stunning venue and impeccable service left us feeling like we had been treated to a memorable experience.
Over the years Hackersley has not only maintained their high standards, but improved and evolved into a fining dining experience to rival any top restaurant in Australia. The extremely talented Head Chef Aaron has constantly and consistently refined his food, changing the menu with the seasons and always striving to take his craft to the next level. He takes the best of what the South West region has to offer and makes it sing, creating exciting and truly mouth watering dishes.
Complimented perfectly by his wife Adrie, who creates a such warm, relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, it almost feels as if you've been invited into their home. The staff are genuine and knowledgeable, always attentive and strike the perfect balance of friendly yet professional.
The menu is a degustation experience that changes every eight weeks, but its also a great place to stop for a wine tasting or even just a coffee and a delicious slice of house made cakes. They will happily make changes to the dishes base on eating preferences, but I would advise informing the kitchen when you book. On our most recent visit we had two pescatarians in our party, and they were accommodated beautifully. They have spent the last 18 months travelling Australia and said that this was the best meal they'd had, hands down!
This not only a review, but also a thank you to the wonderful Adrie, Aaron and team at Hackersley. We feel so privileged to have been part of your journey, and look forward to many more special dining experiences with you.

Today was our first time at Hackersley Estate. Some close friends have been raving about the degustation set menu lunch, so we had to try it.
From the moment I called to book the service was flawless & knew then that it was going to be something out of the ordinary.
Upon our arrival the front of house staff where outstanding. Welcoming, polite and friendly. Through out the afternoon they where attentive but not intrusive, patient and knowledgeable. The styling gives a relaxed, comfy & intimate feel. Combined with the view over looking the dam it's somewhere that you want to while away the afternoon. One thing that stood out to us considering the smaller size of the venue was the generous spacing around the tables. Conversations of other tables don't impinge on your own. It also allows for guests and service staff plenty of room to move around unencumbered.
The food was incredible! Chef clearly takes the best produce the region has to offer and works his magic. Visually stunning but most importantly delicious. Every ingredient elevated to shine. Beautifully blushing pork medallions, fish so delicate it falls apart as the plate is set down, beef that literally melts in your mouth. Every element in perfect harmony with the others. Sophisticated and refined yet still honest and unpretentious. Hackersley is fine dining, at its finest.

The food at Hackersley is undeniably delicious. We were treated to three lovely courses. But when you wait on average 45 minutes between courses and it takes just under three hours to have three courses, the sparkle wears off. We would’ve loved to try dessert but by 330pm, after being seated at 1250, we just couldn’t wait any longer. There is plenty to enjoy at Hackersley, just make sure you have the time.

Three small courses with very long waits between. Would like to have tried the desert but after 2 hours and 15 minutes and only receiving 2 of the 3 courses we could wait no longer. Was so very disappointed after traveling so far to have this special lunch. Hard to drink much wine with so little in the stomach. We were told we needed to allow 2 hours for the lunch and part way through we did indicate to the maitre that we needed to leave at 2.30pm however no special consideration was made. Always open to explanation and accepting of apologies but alas this was not offered. Had heard so many great reviews, I never would have expected such slow service or expected to need to stop for food on our journey home. If the place was overbooked it is the problem of the management and not those who booked well in advance.

Outstanding food, wine and service. The venue is well hidden but not difficult to find. We were with mates from forever , serious foodies with differing tastes. The restaurant nailed the the menu and when we imbibed the 10/10 wines it completed the day. You should go there.

We were so surprised by our meal . It was one of the best we have eaten and we had just been expecting a small cafe . The presentation of each course was sensational and the taste extraordinary . We will be back . Unfortunately service very slow , maybe it’s a COVID problem and they can’t get staff but they needed more than one waitress .

This review is extensive but displays inconsistencies. Hackersley is a fine dining degustation experience. It is clearly not suitable for children. The poor rating is not justified as what is described is a fine dining presentation with varied and excellent ingredients and creative presentation. I experienced this very same menu yesterday and was delighted by the exceptional scenery, high quality of service, the outstanding food, the exciting presentation and the delicious Hackersley's champagne.

I'm lost for words. Simply amazing. Incredible dishes and stunning selection of wines. The team at Hackersley are truly fantastic and we are so lucky to have this gastronomic delight right on our doorstep. The chef at Hackersley has taken the time to produce a selection of dishes that will amaze. The time taken to select and match various components of each dish is inspiring. You are a credit to the culinary world. We are constantly intrigued and excited to see what comes next every time we visit. Thank you for making Sunday's even better. Well worth the visit!!!

Hackerlsy Estate has a beautiful setting and outlook. We couldn't fault the service and dining experience. The wine (Verdelho 2018, Sauvignon Blanc 2018 and Cab Merlot 2013) was pleasant but not outstanding. But we were a little taken back by the pot-pourri of flavours combined in the dishes that comprised the three course degustation menu. The Chef clearly has good technique, as each of the dish's components was well executed, it was just the combination of ingredients and flavours that was odd. In my opinion the pairing of classic European flavours/herbs with Asian/tropical ingredients is rarely going to create a harmonious whole. Hackersley clearly has the capability to do something special. While innovation in recipe design is to be applauded, some restraint and acknowledgment of classic flavour combinations is needed.

We were advised by the locals “whatever you do, you have to have afternoon coffee and cake at Hackersley.” This we did on a stunning Thursday afternoon. We arrived and was greeted by a lovely young lady who proceeded to explain the cakes on offer and help us with our choices. We were the only ones in the restaurant and were served very quickly. I ordered a coffee which was the best coffee I have had in a long time. The outlook overlooking the dam to the paddock of cows was stunning. The cakes were exquisite and the locals hadn’t lied.

Peopole are very friendly and the Restaurante is superb. Really a five star restaurant. Maybe just a little slow between the entrees and the main. The chef has an exquisite skill to mix flavors obtaining an astonishing result. You must not miss it.

One of the best eateries in WA. I live in WA and am fat, I know food.
The people who have given poor reviews really need to look at themselves more than the eatery. This is an adult venue with gourmet food. The best gourmet food too

Do not expect this to be a quick meal and on your way. It is designed to be a long lunch and the food we (10 of us) enjoyed was a delight in terms of quality, flavour and presentation.
Dessert was exquisite but the entire package of food, wine and tranquil setting was just one huge highlight that I never knew existed in the Bunbury area.
Treat yourself for those special occasions and I recommend their sparkling wine.
Menu changes regularly so I won't single out individual dishes.

Was fortunate to be able to come here unexpectedly but I can only say "what a find".
The host Adrie was so welcoming and friendly the venue was inviting but the food was truly outstanding.
I did not get to have the full experience due to other circumstances but that gives me all the more reason to return, which I cannot wait to do.
