We love visiting Hackersley Estate. The rolling monthly degustation menu is always divine and never disappoints. The Staff are wonderful, the atmosphere relaxed and wine fabulous! We Love their Sparkling, Verdelho, and Petit Verdot - a Must visit if you’re in the beautiful Ferguson Valley!
Peopole are very friendly and the Restaurante is superb. Really a five star restaurant. Maybe just a little slow between the entrees and the main. The chef has an exquisite skill to mix flavors obtaining an astonishing result. You must not miss it.
Went for lunch on a wintery afternoon. The venue is lovely with a nice view across the dam and hill. The three course meal was duck, barramundi and beef. All were amazing. Perfectly cooked, great range of flavours and textures. They were just the perfect...size for lunch with the right time between plates. Desert was excellent as well.More
Beautiful grounds, lovely cheese platter and glass of Tempranillo, lovely way to spend a few hours on a lovely fine day. Really liked the Tempranillo, meant to buy some but forgot. Oh well, will have to go back.
Just called in on off chance and got the best table for lunch. Hospitality and service top knotch and food beautifully presented and delicious. Wine excellent and well priced.
Absolutely loved the food. The chef is amazing, wine is delicious and service impecable. Will, definitely go back.
We were advised by the locals “whatever you do, you have to have afternoon coffee and cake at Hackersley.” This we did on a stunning Thursday afternoon. We arrived and was greeted by a lovely young lady who proceeded to explain the cakes on offer...and help us with our choices. We were the only ones in the restaurant and were served very quickly. I ordered a coffee which was the best coffee I have had in a long time. The outlook overlooking the dam to the paddock of cows was stunning. The cakes were exquisite and the locals hadn’t lied.More
The food at Hackersley is undeniably delicious. We were treated to three lovely courses. But when you wait on average 45 minutes between courses and it takes just under three hours to have three courses, the sparkle wears off. We would’ve loved to try dessert...but by 330pm, after being seated at 1250, we just couldn’t wait any longer. There is plenty to enjoy at Hackersley, just make sure you have the time.More
This was our second visit and it definitely did not disappoint . They offer a three course set menu but if you advise any dietary requirements before hand they will look after you . We had three exquisite dishes of a very high standard and...also did the wine tasting which is seated and consists of a flight of five wines for $10 which was a great experience as well. It is a busy little restaurant and I would only have one small negative comment which my husband mentioned. After going to the toilets he said they were a bit dirty , no soap or paper towel and didn’t seem well-maintained. The ladies toilets seemed fine though. Love this place and highly recommendMore
Hackerlsy Estate has a beautiful setting and outlook. We couldn't fault the service and dining experience. The wine (Verdelho 2018, Sauvignon Blanc 2018 and Cab Merlot 2013) was pleasant but not outstanding. But we were a little taken back by the pot-pourri of flavours combined...in the dishes that comprised the three course degustation menu. The Chef clearly has good technique, as each of the dish's components was well executed, it was just the combination of ingredients and flavours that was odd. In my opinion the pairing of classic European flavours/herbs with Asian/tropical ingredients is rarely going to create a harmonious whole. Hackersley clearly has the capability to do something special. While innovation in recipe design is to be applauded, some restraint and acknowledgment of classic flavour combinations is needed.More
Today was our first time at Hackersley Estate. Some close friends have been raving about the degustation set menu lunch, so we had to try it. From the moment I called to book the service was flawless & knew then that it was going to...be something out of the ordinary. Upon our arrival the front of house staff where outstanding. Welcoming, polite and friendly. Through out the afternoon they where attentive but not intrusive, patient and knowledgeable. The styling gives a relaxed, comfy & intimate feel. Combined with the view over looking the dam it's somewhere that you want to while away the afternoon. One thing that stood out to us considering the smaller size of the venue was the generous spacing around the tables. Conversations of other tables don't impinge on your own. It also allows for guests and service staff plenty of room to move around unencumbered. The food was incredible! Chef clearly takes the best produce the region has to offer and works his magic. Visually stunning but most importantly delicious. Every ingredient elevated to shine. Beautifully blushing pork medallions, fish so delicate it falls apart as the plate is set down, beef that literally melts in your mouth. Every element in perfect harmony with the others. Sophisticated and refined yet still honest and unpretentious. Hackersley is fine dining, at its finest.More
Three small courses with very long waits between. Would like to have tried the desert but after 2 hours and 15 minutes and only receiving 2 of the 3 courses we could wait no longer. Was so very disappointed after traveling so far to have...this special lunch. Hard to drink much wine with so little in the stomach. We were told we needed to allow 2 hours for the lunch and part way through we did indicate to the maitre that we needed to leave at 2.30pm however no special consideration was made. Always open to explanation and accepting of apologies but alas this was not offered. Had heard so many great reviews, I never would have expected such slow service or expected to need to stop for food on our journey home. If the place was overbooked it is the problem of the management and not those who booked well in advance.More
The best day at this amazing place. The food was above sublime. If you are a foodie in any way shape or form , please give these guys a look
Expect a feast for eyes as well as taste buds. Chef Aaron creates a new menu every 6 weeks and you get 3 courses degustation style. Then a special dessert if you can manage it. The wines are all from Hackersley Estate, and are excellent....We enjoyed the Rose with our meal. While it is a fine dining experience, the setting is relaxed and scenic and the staff all friendly and well trained. Its a destination place, not a drop in cafe, although on Thursdays they just do simple coffee and cakes, and cheese platters. Highly recommended if you are in the Ferguson valley or staying in the Bunbury or Collie region.More
