It has been already 3 time I visited this restaurant. Always satisfated. The restaurant is literally on the river. Which it gives already many points. The service is very "relaxed" but full of attention. I mean. You will easily see waiters sitting around one table and lazing chatting about something, but, when your glass of water will turn empty, someone... More

I read accolade after accolade about this place. However, we simply don't get it. I can only assume that beer helps .... Although not expensive, it is overpriced for what they offer. Having tried it, twice, we haven't found anything worthwhile. I post a photo of Rim Fung's (yes, it's F-U-N-G)poo pad pong karee, along side Krua Apsorn's. There is... More

As we stay nearby with family everytime we visit we arrive by taxi or tuk tuk but would imagine most travellers would see this place when they arrive on an express boat trip from Bangkok centre. After a wander up the main road opposite the pier to take in the local street market (ensuring you reach the main food market... More

We stopped here for lunch having taken the express boat right up the river. Its at ferry stop 3 north of Bangkok city. They have fans blowing as well as the breeze from the river. The deep fried calamari is pretty good and the beers are very cold which was much appreciated in 35 degree heat.

I go for dinner with friends here regularly since it's about 5 meters from where I live. I'm not st all a seafood person. So the menu is a bit of a challenge, but what they do they do well. The spicy beef salad is a definite winner as is the green curry with beef. The typical sides, like pak... More

Rim Fang is a floating restaurant on the Chao Praya River, just downstream from the Nonthaburi Pier, so it's very easy to access from the express river boats. Although the restaurant is on pontoons, you will hardly notice that you're actually floating on the river, since the motion/movement is generally very slight. The ambiance is plain, but very pleasant, with... More

Well, four of us set off from Asoke sky train station around 9.30 am with the intention of catching a ferry from Saphan Taksin to ensure we got to Nonthaburi around 11.30 am. All went well except for a minor hiccup when I almost boarded the tourist boat which was showing a blue flag and then I was heading to... More
