Having never been here before, we dropped in here for a cuppa during a day visit to South Uist from Barra. Tucked away in the back of Lochboisdale in the Post Office, they serve a lovely selection of hot/cold beverages and really lovely home baking. The rest of their menu including a variety of morning rolls and lunchtime snacks looked... More

The take out cappuccino was lovely, plenty of cool froth and super hot coffee. I definitely intend going back to sample the delicious array of cakes

This is a shop, post office, and cafe all in one. The seating is a little cramped at the front of the shop, but better at the back, where you get a nice view out of the window. There is a pervasive smell of scented candles from the shelves near the entrance - so another good reason for sitting at... More

Its a high class greasy spoon. Don't let that put you off, as the selection is good and the service great.

I can definitely recommend their home made soup. It is delicious and filling. It seems to be popular with locals and that is always a good recommendation. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Stopped here for a late Lunch and i ordered some very good Carrot and Coriander Soup with Bread and a slice of Lemon Cake and a drink for £7.90. The Cafe also doubles as the Post Office and also a little touristy bit selling gifts so there not a lot of seats but welcoming.

Thanks not living close to this place, otherwise I would gain weight. Such lovely cakes and soups. If you are close, you have to stop here

lovely little cafe, very distinctive with its pink roof. Service was friendly and food was good, we stopped 3 times, for a coffee and twice for lunch. Always busy. The cakes looked lovely and a good selection but we resisted

We travelled from North Uist after hearing good things about this cafe but what a waste of a journey. The food was average at best, the baked potatoes tiny and along with the sandwiches served with a salad of leaves (fine), grapes (nice enough) chopped strawberries (bizarre) and croutons (oily and horrible). The best I can say about it is... More

Nice quaint little cafe a nice and close to lochboisdale pier. We had to wait for a seat as it is quite small and all the tables were full but a sign of what a good place this is. Served a nice cup of coffee and their chicken soup was quite honestly to die for, lovely section of homemade cakes... More
