This is the perfect place to eat or drink if you want to watch the stunning Mekong sunsets. Right on the river, look for the small door to go up the stairs next to the convenience store. Food is excellent and well priced (if you stay at the guesthouse you also get a discount on food). They have a good selection of wines as well as other drinks. They have a breakfast, lunch and dinner menu and all the food is terrific! The pizzas were especially good.
Staff all speak great English and since it’s at the guesthouse they can also help you organise tours such as kayaking etc too.

This is the cafe linked to the Kayaking business. It also does hostel style accomodation.
Great location looking over the Mekong and serves good western style food - including a great breakfast and the best toast we had in Cambodia! There is also a small, but very good and reasonably priced Australian and New Zealand wine selection. We'd been travelling for a month and the opportunity to sit watching the sunset with a cold Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc was too good to miss!

I was in Karatie for 15 days, and ate Breakfast or Dinner once a day. The cook, waitress and waiters were also; they always had a smile for me when I arrived and when I would leave. The food was delicious, and the omelette breakfast was just what I need. Thanks to all the staff of the Soya Restaurant for making my vacation a complete success. Bob!

Great views with good food. Orange juice was so fresh and refreshing. Coffee was really good. He made a cheese toast with locally made bread. Just perfect. Was a find. If you staying anywhere around , please come for breakfast. This place is value for money. Two coffee, cheese toast, one glass of fresh orange juice just about $8.

Fab rooftop restaurant with decent food and friendly staff. We also stayed at Sorya, so ate a number of different items from the menu, most of which were pretty good. The pumpkin bread was a firm favourite and the pizza we had was lovely. The only let down was the tomato pasta dish which was a bit bland and lacking in sauce.

half a year ago, Pete and his team took over this location and made it a guesthouse, restaurant, bar, excursion office, bike rental... Pete does a great job, and he managed to get some wonderful young staff working for him. as for food, the choice is for a plate of pasta or a pizza. there is a nice choice of wine, and some sweets. best of all is the athmosphere on the terrace and the great blues and rock music, once the neurotic rhythm from the street gym ends.

Posters from the golden age of aviatin decorate the rooftop bar / restaurant. Stunning views of the Mekong and good vibes accompany a tasty pizza with chilled beer. We came with our four-year old and found the place to be child friendly. This is a great place to end after an amazing kayak with dolphins run by the company the Sorya Kayaking Adventures located on the same premises.

A lovely place with the best view in town. This is not the only great thing, the staff is outstandingly friendly and welcoming. Their menu only offers western food. The breakfast is great, as are their cocktails, and their milkshakes, and their pastas.... actually the offer nothing less then delicious.

We stayed at the hotel as well. The room was comfortable and is in a great location. The cafe , has a view overlooking the Mekong river and is a fab spot for watching the sunset. The food was delicious and we especially enjoyed the smoothies and the fish amok. Coffee and pumpkin cake also went down very well. The location is very close to the ferry boat that takes you over the island. Worth a little trip. We cycled around the island . Didn’t take long about 1hr and was a fun and interesting experience .

Arrived to find that it was a private party. On Christmas Day no less! Instead of being kicked out they shared their food and merely insisted I buy a few drinks. Great Kratie Gin Fizz and even better Long Island Iced Tea.
Wonderful views, great staff, friendly owners. I truly hope they do well after coronavirus.

Sorya Cafe is a human-sized establishment located upstairs with a wide view of the mythical Mekong River.
The food is correct and the Awards are reasonable. But what pleased us most was the warm welcome of all the staff, as well as their efficiency and diligence. For lunch, or dinner, to enjoy the beautiful sunset over the Mekong while enjoying tea and cupcakes, I highly recommend this place so friendly.

It is a lovely place with a terrace with a beautiful view to the Mekong. The rooms are basic, but clean. The staff is friendly and very helpful. You can book paddling and dolphin watching on the mighty Mekong, van transport, rent a bicycle...

Today the restaurant was visited by an Italian tour group during lunchtime.
After they spread their dirty luggage on the tables, the group began to prepare for the onward journey. There were the men in their underpants in the middle of the restaurant , the women in their bikinis , they were creaming, drying their hair , perfumed and smoking , while other guests wanted to enjoy their food.
The staff stood by and watched.
It's not possible at all and it was therefore my last visit to the not bad restaurant.

We were staying here but we mainly ate here as well. The food was the best in town. The view couldn't be beat. It was absolutely stunning at sunrise and sunset. They were so accommodating with my late night owl tendencies despite Kratie being a sleepy town. The pizza was my favorite thing ever. I spent ages looking out at the water.
