Great views and a lovely atmosphere in the outdoor covered courtyard. The food was wonderful with plenty of organic options and the coffee was terrific. Have normally enjoyed the drive for the food and country atmosphere. Unfortunately a new chef hasn't delivered the past quality. The pork ribs had little meat, too much gristle and fat. Hopefully, it's a one-off as I do enjoy the concept and hinterland.
A totally different atmosphere to most city style restaurants; laid back and relaxing with a simple but enjoyable meal. A lovely drive to get here though the hinterland and Mary Valley leading to a relaxing lunch and atmosphere. Food is better than you would normally...expect for such an "isolated" area; enjoyed the Xian mushrooms and pork burger.More

Have been here several times and have never been disappointed. Took a drive with the in-laws to show them some local produce. Food was fresh and tasty. Great use of local produce and small business products. A place you must stop at if you’re up...this way.More

This place is the best. All organic (not that I care about that) they use veggies from the farms and local meat. The staff r super friendly and they also use Bargara brewery beers from Bundaberg (I have been to the brewery muchos recommend). I...had one of my first vego meals for the year, pumpkin crepes, but got their potato smash too. It was.....amazing. I would almost go vego for it if meat wasn’t so amazing and the best thing ever. Go here. Enjoy yourself. I will travel back from sunny coast just for a visit it’s amazing.More

What a great place for the Mary Valley and Kandanga to have. You can sit out on the back patio overlooking the paddocks and enjoy the quality food the Kitchen has to offer. The coffee and cakes are to die for, and they now have...a liquor lic with beautiful wines and excellent craft beersMore

Alas Cafe not open on our Tuesday drive .. should have checked. Love to return & soak up the total country atmosphere. The eco/organic & local ethos is great to hear about from the passion of the owner/staff. This has to be a true hidden...gem ... well worth the drive ... but hey check when Kitchen/cafe is open!More

We read some good reviews so popped in for a look and were more than disappointed. The coffee was good, but an attempt at an ethos of paddock to plate that didn't breathe it from the core, and food that wasn't nearly as good as...it's presentation let us down. The home made maple syrup lacked maple, the sweet potato french toast was burnt and lacklustre. The bacon was dry and overdone. There was no sauce with the eggs but when we asked we were offered tomato relish or japanese mayo. The mushroom crepes were ok but didn't exactly pop with flavour, in fact, none of what we had did. The place has a grey new shed that feels a little sterile and wannabe but doesn't quite pull it off. It is also pretty pricey for what you get. There is a grocery store next door and they sell random things like boots and shovels. This place has potential but we walked out feeling like it was weird and the whole thing just doesn't gel together. Will give it a miss next time and get a pie at Kandanga Store instead.More
