Doing what it does best. A lovely country pub. Good beer, good wine selection, new menu, friendly staff, smiling customers and they allow good dogs!

Excellent. New owners, slight face-lift but not too gentrified and has retained its character. £14 for Roast Beef... very good and service was excellent. Great choice of beers - lagers, ales and a couple of craft beers too plus bottles Will be back!

This gem has been through a brilliant refreshing transformation over the past month and has re-opened with a new landlord, who double hats as the amazing head chef. Relocating from another local pub with a fabulous reputation for the food, his menu here makes it...More

Visited Queen's Oak with friends last night. New management, beautiful new decor, and the food was outstanding. So positively surprised. Will definitely go back. Best of luck to the new managers.

We decided to check out the recently refurbished pub and menu tonight (25/9/2018) and were not disappointed. The sea bass dish was a delight, and the burger was bountiful. It's the busiest I've seen it in some time. Hope it goes from strength to strength.....

Contrary to the current trip advisor listing this pub / eatery is now re-opened under new management with an excellent looking menu, refresh decor internally and entire new team - feeling hopeful👍🏻

Lovely old pub under new management. We went to the opening night last night and the place looked gorgeous...all freshly decorated. There was a great crowd, lovely atmosphere and I lots of excitement as the chef has come from another local pub and we all...More

We love this pub - we are always made welcome. Food is pricey - but is value for money. If we eat out, then this is the first venue of our choice. But what happened? Today I saw that the pub is closed and under...More

Description
The only pub in the country named The Queen's Oak. 400 years old & built on a Roman ruin. A proper English pub serving nice homemade British food and a range of beverages including cask conditioned real ales. There are plenty of picturesque walks nearby and just opposite is St Michaels Church. We welcome dogs, horses and well behaved children and have a large, safe garden. An excellent venue for a country style wedding, christening or any celebration. We also host during the summer some hog roast and BBQ.
