We received a lovely welcome despite being soaking wet having called in for lunch as part of a long walk. Service was excellent - food was great and it was brilliant value too.

A warm welcome with very attentive service. We ordered scampi and a minute steak, one with chips and the other sweet potato chips. All arrived promptly and most enjoyable. We will definitely return.

Popped here as they have a quiz on Thursdays, didn't eat but food looked lovely. Very friendly staff and very dog friendly offering treats and a water bowl without even asking.

Description
The only pub in the country named The Queen's Oak. 400 years old & built on a Roman ruin. A proper English pub serving nice homemade British food and a range of beverages including cask conditioned real ales. There are plenty of picturesque walks nearby and just opposite is St Michaels Church. We welcome dogs, horses and well behaved children and have a large, safe garden and play area. An excellent venue for a country style wedding, christening or any celebration. We also host during the summer some hog roast and BBQ.
