Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Friendly and casual atmosphere. Very welcoming and warm. The wine tasting is very enjoyable and interesting and a very reasonable price. The set menu is so tasty and beautifully presented. The open fire on a cold day is very cozy and welcoming

Fabulous setting on hill- bucolic outlook. great wine, pleasant food, although a little overpriced at $75 per head for 6 dishes, one of which was a small leaf salad, another asparagus, another 1 scallop per person. Friendly, accommodating team.

What a wonderful place the view is beautiful, the food sensational, service impeccable and of course the wines are equally as delicious. The owner came past for a chat and was a lovely down to earth bloke. Great way to spend the afternoon, highly recommended.

We’d had a late brunch in Yarra Glen, so we were well fed and here to taste some of their new wines. I really enjoyed the Cabernet, 2018 if I recall and they’re Rose is one of the best and consistent around. The modern fireplace...created a lovely ambience on a cool, clear winters day. The gardens are spacious and the owners property, on the right as you drive in, looks amazing up on the hill behind the lake.More

We just had a wonderful afternoon at Medhurst. We ordered the grazing box and everything in it was delicious. It had a good variety of tasty delights and was, in fact, more than we could eat. We ordered a rose, a Chardonnay and a Shiraz...between us and we were extremely happy with the quality of the wines. Service was excellent and the view across the beautifully manicured grounds capped off a very relaxing and enjoyable afternoon. Being local, I have been here several times before when different friends visited. In the past we were able to order a $40 tasting plate which was just perfect to share. The new system of $40 per person was not as appealing to us as it was more food than we needed and made for quite an expensive afternoon. I feel I would need to consider the cost before taking friends there in the future.More

Very relaxing in a nice spot, with good food and wine of course. The platter was a mixed one but had very little cheese on it, but the scenery almost made up for it.

Great venue with beautiful outlook. Enjoyed a wine tasting followed by lunch. Did not taste one wine that we didn’t like. Wine & food was perfect 👌🏻. Staff were lovely and friendly. Will definitely head back there again soon.

Medhurst Winery was recommended to us by Port Phillip Winery in the Mornington and we were so pleased to have made it there! What an absolute gem of a winery! The wines are absolutely outstanding - I had gone off Sauvignon Blanc for a long...time but that's clearly because I hadn't tasted the real thing! Absolutely sublime. The staff are fabulous, so knowledgable, engaging and polite. We stayed for lunch and were blown away by the food! I'd never heard of squid ink salami so that was a real favourite! The venue is stunning as well, so relaxing, makes you wish you could stay over for the night! Thank you to all at Medhurst, a fabulous treat for a Saturday lunch! We will be back.More

Have been here once before and knew the next time I visited the Yarra with my partner I had to bring her here. Is one of the few wineries we've been to where we've both enjoyed all the wines on offer. Had two tapas style...dishes that had an unusual combo of ingredients but they tasted absolutely brilliant.More

This is a delightful place to have a meal with a view and of course some accompanying wine on the side. The meals were for small amounts or large amounts of food depending on how hungry you were. The staff were lovely and the food...was good value.More
