Upon arriving, I was ‘told’ how inconvenient it was that there were 4 of us instead of the 3 that we’d booked. Aside from that - the venue is fabulous and the food great.

Situated quite a distance from Port Macquarie, this centre is popular with locals, to the extent that the cafe was booked out when we tried to visit. Instead we looked around the huge gardening area which contained a large range of plants.

The location by the pond is great and some staff are lovely. It is so simple to make customers feel comfortable but yesterday wasn’t one for me with my first visit to this cafe. I have eaten in cafes around the world and know that...the aesthetic and customer service is often more important than the food. My husband rang to book an table and asked ahead if there was gluten free food- yes When I went to order lunch I asked about the veggie hamburger- no the bun wasn’t gluten free ‘do you have any GF bread’ yes but it’s small - so I asked to see this. Ok but what else goes in the bun? ‘I don’t know, it’s written in the menu says the girl in a continuing efficacious way! At this I was really taken aback she was not trying even the slightest to be helpful. Ordered said hamburger. A short time later a lovely girl came out and explained that the hamburger had breadcrumbs with gluten 🤷‍♀️ Now that was super irresponsible as the person taking my order didn’t say this. So disappointing. Please train your staff on dietary issues and to be pleasant and helpful to people who are paying customers.More

Close to Wauchope, this nursery and cafe is certainly worth a visit. A good array of plants, pots and other nursery items are for sale. The cafe is set overlooking a lovely water lily covered dam with ducks, turtles and waterfowl. The coffee was good...and the food was quite nice without being exceptional. I was a little disappointed with my hamburger which was served with no sauce and was hence a little bland. My wife enjoyed her freshly scrambled eggs with mushrooms. Well worth a visit.More

We loved the outlook over the lake with all the wildlife. Our meals were delicious, if perhaps a bit over-priced. However, the helpings were very generous, so much so that we requested - and were happily given - doggy bags. The Buddha bowl will be...re-used tonight, as will the garden salad. So, perhaps not over-priced after all? Service was with a smile, even when the two waitresses were working hard. We would have loved to be locals with such a large range of plants to buy.More

Had been recommended to us by friends. We loved the setting on a large pond full of turtles and the staff were all very nice. Buddha bowl was nice but the chicken parmi from the specials board was a frozen piece of chicken over fried,...had little taste and gave me a stomach ache. Will not be returning any time soon.More

What a great place to relax and have a meal, or in my case just coffee and cake. The food other patrons were receiving look really great, and coffee and cake I had was the same. It is located within a nursery, and seating at...the cafe is on a balcony over a small lagoon. Lots of plant life, very relaxed and kid friendly. Staff were extremely polite and quick service.More

We had coffee and cake for M/T, the service was great, very friendly and nice. Unfortunately the coffee was not hot and the cakes were not good. It is also way over priced but I guess you pay for the surrounding. Will not be returning.

Arguably the Best coffee around the Port Macquarie area. Spotlessly Clean and attentive to all COVID regulations. Beautiful spot to relax by their large Lilly Pond with water Dragons Turtles and Ducks all living peacefully in the tranquil surrounds. One of the best places to...relax in the area. All meals Cakes and Refreshments made fresh on site by their lovely friendly staff. It is one of the largest propagating Nurseries I’ve seen. It truly is a Country Gem of a place. Don’t miss visiting only 10 minutes from Port Macquarie.More

We recently had morning tea at Abundance Cafe with some friends of ours and enjoyed the absolutely serene setting from the outdoor deck overlooking the water lillys and bird life. The food was excellent as was the coffee. A perfect morning tea. BUT - all...of that was brought undone when we went to the till to pay our bill. The waitress ABSOLUTELY REFUSED to let us split the bill (two couples - so half and half using tap and go with our debit cards. it would have been so simple - but no, one of us had to pay the whole bill with tap and go and then had to arrange a bank transfer via internet banking between us to sort out the amount. So we now have two local couples who have a very sour taste about Abundance Cafe. When any of our friends suggest morning tea get-togethers Abundance cafe will not be amongst the choices!More

The Abundance Cafe and Garden Centre lost their residence and part of the nursery in the recent bushfires. This was one of the reasons our group chose to stop here for lunch, to help support the business and keep it running. It is set next...to a huge pond, which makes a beautiful setting for weddings or any other function. There is a wide selection of plants for sale, including many unusual and interesting varieties, both indoor and outdoor. What took my eye though, was the floor to ceiling, carnivorous pitcher plant. It was magnificent! They also have a selection of garden accessories, including furniture and water features. This is a great place to come if you’re stuck for a gift. In the cafe, the food was simple, but interesting and very tasty. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I would recommend dropping in, just for a browse through the plants and products, maybe stop for a coffee or lunch. Definitely worth a lookMore

My partner and I went for lunch and we ordered a burrito bowl and a beef burger. I still don’t know how business get away with beef patties and guacamole bought from EWH (frozen food supplier) $21 for a dish made out of frozen stuff?...Nope thank you. Plus services is very poor!More
