I came here expecting pleasure, I only received pain! The food was served fast and hot, heavily indicating quantity came over quality. To give credit to this establishment, they remain open despite a vote of no confidence by the people of Maldon, falling profit margins...More

There can't be many places that offer fantastic views while providing old world welcome and hospitality. Good good, friendly staff. The Queen's Head is a pleasure to visit. Tucked away on the quayside full of Maldon character - well worth a visit again and again.

Decided on Haddock & chips with peas. An enormous piece of fish, beautifully cooked with wonderful chips & peas. Wife had seafood with fresh mussels, a delight. Couldn't manage a desert. Service was prompt and friendly. Well worth another visit.

Lovely evening meal here last week while on holiday in Essex. Service and food were excellent. The area alongside the river was most attractive and despite many visitors the staff were attentive and helpful. Having left our hats and scarves there, we went back to...More

Had heard good things about this place but never again!! Lady taking my order seemed more interested in her phone than what I wanted to eat. After finally getting the food it was cold, asked for it to be taken back and I was looked...More

Popped in for a spot of lunch during the half term break. Good menu, nice range of choices, friendly and quick service and tasty food when it arrived.

Here we go.... The big review, that I have been waiting to publish for some time. Reason for the delay is due to the terrifying experience I had at this establishment. So... I arrived on a cold winter morning with a good friend to enjoy...More

Great pub food, great beers and excellent service. I’ve been there a number of times now and rarely have to wait longer than 2 minutes to be served at the bar. Food service is excellent too and there is a good choice on the menu....More

This is a legal question, so I suggest googling to find out the law on the employment of young people in premises serving alcohol.

Sorry we don't do a cooked breakfast at the moment. We do run our full menu from 11am every day if that is of any use

Dogs are allowed in both bars which also serve food. Not in the restaurant away from the bars.

The best pub venue in Maldon, set on the Blackwater river.Thames barges aline the quayside. Large patio area, with seating for over 100 people. Over looked by Maldon St Marys Church. A wonderful setting on the quay, a fantastic old working dock fo yesteryear.
