I and my family eat out very often but must say this PUB is overpriced @£14 a dish ..wow that's dear for what you are getting (the food is good) but not that good....I suggest a look at the new pricing structure.....seems a little quieter...More

During my visit here I was astounded how terrible the customer service was. Some of the staff members were incredibly hostile, angry and intimidating. I'm sure some of them are lovely but, wow, the angry ladies we encountered were not really suited to a job...More

Having lived in Maldon / surrounding area most of my life, I love the proms and the quay but went to the queen’s head the other day and was disappointed. Not only by the fact that scampi, chips and salad was £14 (yes, fourteen pounds...More

Stopped by for lunch over the bank holiday weekend. The weather was glorious so inevitably the pub was very busy. Ordered cheese burger, chips and salad. Nothing wrong with the chips or salad, however the burger was awful. The burgers must be the cheapest ones...More

The Queens Head is our favourite chillout restaurant that ticks all the boxes for us. They have a wide range of lovely fish dishes served in a lovely environment overlooking the estuary and served by lovely attentive staff.

The pub is in a great position on the quayside and prices have always been at the top end for pub food. But recently the mains have gone up to £14, which is too much for a smallish curry or scampi and chips, for example....More

Lovely pub in a fab location. We booked for a family evening meal as we haven't been there for a while. The menu looked smaller, less choices and a lot of the dishes had chips with everything. The food was not to its usually high...More

First rate food and drink in a friendly small restaurant attached to the pub. Baked cod with prawns and chive mash was excellent, as was the curry. Good selection of beers. Service was friendly and prompt. Good value for money. Great views a over the...More

I came here expecting pleasure, I only received pain! The food was served fast and hot, heavily indicating quantity came over quality. To give credit to this establishment, they remain open despite a vote of no confidence by the people of Maldon, falling profit margins...More

This is a legal question, so I suggest googling to find out the law on the employment of young people in premises serving alcohol.

Sorry we don't do a cooked breakfast at the moment. We do run our full menu from 11am every day if that is of any use

Dogs are allowed in both bars which also serve food. Not in the restaurant away from the bars.

The best pub venue in Maldon, set on the Blackwater river.Thames barges aline the quayside. Large patio area, with seating for over 100 people. Over looked by Maldon St Marys Church. A wonderful setting on the quay, a fantastic old working dock fo yesteryear.
