We had beverages on the patio - nice atmosphere. Inside it is very quaint and I'm sure it is a very comfortable place when the weather drives everyone inside.

Came here for food and stayed for the party! My husband and a group of friends came to visit friends who live in Wakefield. We went out to supper at this place and had great service and food. We later moved in from the patio to the bar and bought tickets for common deer and union duke. We were blown... More

Expected better food and atmosphere overall. Don't go to the washroom you may not get out. Granted that was 2015 hope it is cleaner now! Creeps me out that a notice has to be given , not to pee off the steps!

We went there for the band and were not disappointed. Based on reviews we decided to have dinner elsewhere and then head over for the music - wise decision. The atmosphere was inviting and very relaxing. I hadn't been there in years so it was good to reconnect and of course, I'll go back.

When a band or a solo artist gets to play at the Black Sheep, you are guaranteed good stuff! And we got a great group from Ottawa. I was salivating over a bugler and fries, but settled in with my dark ale. I love his place. It hasn't changed in years, and that is part of the charm!

The Black Sheep is legendary in the Ottawa area as an excellent venue for new artists and established performed looking to perform in an intimate setting. And door charge is always reasonable. It's unfortunate that one has to arrive when in advance of a show in order to secure a table which inevitably means you'll be having a meal. The... More

An intimate concert venue - a great place to see your favourite acts up close and personal. Their food is pretty good too, so come early to grab a seat near the stage and order off their menu.

Went to hear Maria Doyle Kennedy and Jill Zmud. The place was packed but that gave us the opportunity to meet Jennifer and Ragnar who were kind enough to share their table with us. We only had drinks, but were told that the Sheep has excellent poutine. The show was great, sound was perfect, all in all a wonderful evening

An "old style" tavern it is a great place to see a concert. The beer is not outrageously priced and the staff are friendly and bilingual. Maybe not my first choice to dine there but really good if you want to be up close to the band.

I'm sure it's great for entertainment, but we weren't there for that. We had a drink on the patio and browsed the menu, but nothing was interesting there to eat, so we decided to move on.
