This was my 1st visit for a special birthday celebration with a large group. We were well accommodated with a good arrangement of tables set up perfect for mingling. The Metcalfe has a lovely patio for outdoor dining in the warmer months. There were daily...More
It seems very hit and miss here. Last time I was here it was bad and the time before it was good...this time it was decent. I had the veggie Samosas with Caesar salad. The samosas could have had more filling. The salad was good....More
Elora is a wonderful little town with lots of charm. We visited the Metcalfe on a Wednesday night for dinner and a glass of wine. I ordered a veggie burger. The food could have been so much better. A shame...or an opportunity for some improvement?...More
We had fish and chips, a burger and a child's meal at the patio and found it enjoyable. Large portion, nice and juicy fish, good fries, prompt and friendly service. Was very surprised to learn that most people did not have the level of positive...More
We were attracted to the patio because of its central location and beautiful trees. Unfortunately the food didn't follow suite. The calamari was dry and tasteless. The antojitos were pretty much the same.
We stopped here on our first day for some lunch. We sat outside and the service was great. I wanted a small portion of the soup to try and got it in a coffer mug which was super cool! Burger and sweet potato fries hit...More
Food was not good quality. Something I could've fried up at home. Pricey as well. Server wasn't pleasant and felt we were rushed although there were 6 other patrons. Dont recommend. Many places to enjoy in Elora.
Dropped in for lunch but would not recommend it. Food was very mediocre and pricey, for what we got. We even had to fetch our own cutlery/napkins from the server's station! We found out later that there were many nicer places to eat in Elora.
A decent standby in Elora, this place has been there since forever. It offers a decent patio, though a lot of typical pub food. It is a nice place to hang out for a bit on a summer day, but not exactly memorable either.
