Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We loved the festive atmosphere and the fantastic manners of chef Mirella! I think the idea of making you taste a little bit of everything is great, as I enjoy quality over quantity. The tortelloni alle noci and the involtini in a plum and pomegranate...sauce were my favourites, though the lasagnette and the cake plate were also outstanding. The location is nice and the weather was good, so I couldn't ask for more. Their Pignoletto is above average for the area, the Cabernet we tasted did not impress us much.More

I have lived in italy and grown up in italian households and now myself and my italian husband visit different parts at least 3 times a year so we have eaten our fair share of primi e secondi. But this 30 Euro- per-head gem in...a stunning part of italy is a highlight and a definite MUST VISIT. And yes that includes ALL courses (antipasti, primi of multiple pastas, secondi, contorni, dolci) AND WINE. For anyone new to italy or traditional style of eating, this is exactly what you should experience whilst in this beautiful country - truly italian meals. ** just note cash only ** Every single thing that touched the plate was made by hand with love by the owners and that’s when you can truly taste italy. The tortellini with fresh ricotta and noci is a definite highlight as well as the terrine carne with mushrooms and of course vino rosso della casa that takes me back to my family dinner table. Grazie mille Mirella e Giuseppe! we will be back again and again. Ci vediamo presto. XxxMore

Just finished one of my favourite meals in Italy, the set menu is great value and sooo delicious! The staff are super friendly, the location is great, 100% worth going too for some proper Italian cooking and regional fare.

We went there for dinner a week ago. It was 45 minutes drive from home. At first we wasn't sure if we were going at the right direction because the location was at the midst of woods. But it was worth the travel and money....The food was great! Especially the gnocco fritto and Crespelle! Delicious!More

What a wonderful evening. Food is first class, as is the wine and the service is even better. A little bit out in the sticks but not to be missed

We went here for an indulgent mid-week lunch having looked in advance (necessary!) - they were incredibly welcoming and cooked the most delicious 4 course meal just for the 4 of us. The setting was beautiful and we felt very spoilt having wonderful home cooked...Italian food in this gorgeous rustic setting. We felt that we had thoroughly experienced not only authentic Italian food and setting but also genuine warmth and hospitality. I would highly recommend a trip and will definitely be returning if we are in the area again!More

Stayed for 2 nights and had dinner one evening. Beautiful place, recently refurbished but kept the charms of the old farmhouse it used to be. Very friendly, attentive, hard working owners. Food is amazing - the best we've had in Bologna area.

Stayed here on a Friday night. To get there you drive on winding one-lane paved roads. The rooms are in the same building as the restaurant/bar. Breakfast was at 8. Not 7-10, but 8 o'clock sharp. Everything was OK, but I much prefer Corte D'Aibo,...another agriturismo close by.More

The food was amazing and the people working there very kind. We had a bottle of white wine, water, four courses and coffee to finish it all! Because it was dark outside, we couldn't see a lot of the surroundings, but I guess it is...also wonderful to stay for a night or two at this agriturismo. Anyway: worth a visit!More

We (a family of four) had dinner at Ca' Nova del Tenente and we couldn't fault it. We had a set menu which consisted of five courses. Antipasti of cold meats, cheese, home-grown tomatoes, chutneys and delicious puffed-up pastries. Then there were crepes filled with...vegetables in a delicious creamy, cheesy sauce. The pasta course had two types of pasta - tortellini filled with ricotta and spinach and another shape of pasta with a Bolognese sauce. Then the meat course of fillet of pork and stuffed rolled turkey, served with roasted potatoes. Finally the dessert course, which consisted of four small portions per person of a chocolate cake, an almond cake, something similar to a Bakewell tart and a fruity ice-cream style dessert. All of this was accompanied by several bottles of water (we could have had wine or beer but hubby was driving) and followed with coffee and liqueurs. All of the food was outstanding in flavour, absolutely delicious. The hosts spoke only a smattering of English (but enough that we could understand what we were eating) and were very welcoming and friendly. For our meal we paid a total of €100 which we thought was exceptionally good value. Ca' Nova del Tenente is situated in a beautiful hilltop location - we arrived just as the sun was setting on our final evening in the area and we wished we had discovered it sooner so that we could have seen it in daylight.More

I have been to this restaurant with two friends who always give me the opportunity to taste the Italian traditional food. I must say... this place was a real discovery. Loved the food, the surroundings, the view and also the service. The owners were truly...lovely and always ready to help. The service was quick and perfectly times; the food was various, tasty and well-presented. In addition, the view is just breathtaking and is perfect for all occasions from a night out with friends to a romantic date. The surrounding area also gives the opportunity to spend time outside for a relaxing chat or for a suggestive walk after a delicious meal. I will definitely go back!More

We are Bologna residents (one native, one adopted) and brought our American visitors here for lunch on Sunday. Although the restaurant was packed, we received a friendly welcome from the owner and were served immediately. The other owner kindly accommodated our vegetarian guest by rebalancing...the composition of the meat and cheese antipasti and invited us to call ahead next time with any special needs. The menu included three first courses and two second courses; we were able to try all of the above with reasonable portions. Especially delicious were the tortelloni with ricotta and balsamic glaze. Also superb was the turkey stuffed with sausage. Dessert was a 4-piece sampler of homemade cakes. What really distinguishes Cà Nova del Tenente is the extraordinary service and warm, friendly atmosphere. We look forward to returning.More

This was the second agriturismo restaurant we visited and it was not as good at cort d'daibo. Had it been our only agriturismo, I might be rating it one star higher. The food was all good and there was certainly plenty of it. The wines...were unremarkable but fine. Our main problem was that even though it was a lovely evening, the dinner was served inside where it got crowded and hot.More

We have been travelling around Italy for 3 weeks and this is hands down the cleanest, prettiest, most beautiful and quiet place we found. The attention to detail and cleanliness of the place is unparalleled, the location is stunning and incredibly quiet, we even saw...a few caprioli on our walk around! I wish I could spend a week here, we came during the first few days of the week when there is no dinner service but if it's as good as breakfast I'd love to try it. Heck, I would live here if I could! Be mindful these guys don't have eftpos yet so bring some cash with you :)More
