2 and 1/2 hours for tapas and pizza - food ok but unremarkable. Owner did a pizza juggling impresssion and deposited both of our pizzas on the pavement - at least that proved it only took 10 minutes to make a pizza when they had to. It seems the owner hasn't worked out the connection between one more staff member... More

I did not want to like this restaurant, as the waiter was rather unhelpful and despite my attempt to communicate in French I could not understand the menu. English is not spoken. However, the food was absolutely wonderful. The tapas dishes were excellent, especially the potatoe dish. Service was prompt.

This restaurant is really worth a visit. Skip the towns central square and walk just a 30 meters further to find this superbe place. Very nice and friendly staff, menu with a good choice of excellent (bio) wines and menus with a choice of delicious food. Very high quality for a fair price, worth a detour!

A gem of a restaurant in a beautiful stone and timbered building. Meals are prepared on a wood grill. The grilled duck and grilled lamb were exceptional. Our server was charming and witty without being intrusive. We went back a second night for tapas which were also excellent.

Don't miss this restaurant if you are a grilled meat lover. The service was exceptional and the meal was a complete delight. There are some meals you never forget and this will be one of ours. Hidden in a little side street, away from the main terraces, it was a special find and a wonderful memory we will treasure. We... More

We were in Maussane in April during our "on the road" trip. Our hotel was just close to this restaurant so we decided to give it a try. The atmosphere is ovely, a sort of candlelight dinner in a beautiful and tipical place, very intimate.. The staff is lovely, friendly and even if they don't speak English they try to... More

We were driving through the tiny village of Maussane when we saw some signs advertizing this wood-fired restaurant. We decided to give it a try and were not at all disappointed. The steaks are grilled in a hot wood-fired oven like they do in Tuscany. We ordered a cote de boeuf for 2 people which took a long time to... More

Hidden in the back streets of the village ,this neat cosy restaurant has a very strange choice of foods. you can have several tapas portions Or , most other dishes are grilled meats, plain, simple but of excellent quality. The food almost seems to support the very extensive wine list which has some well chosen listings carefully described and excellent quality.... More
