We had dinner at Thai Tong Yandina on a Tuesday night. Food was yummy, staff and service was AMAZING. Credit to the young staff serving us they were all attentive and polite with a great attitude.
Food came quickly and was well priced.
We had the Thai Tong Satay stir fry and the Cashew Nut Stir fry with steam rice and drinks :)

Great service, lovely deck and good atmosphere, and the food is always fantastic. the only thing would be the price of three small spring rolls - I reckon either charge less or make it 4 in the serve. Other than that, always enjoyable.

We had two nice meals with seafood.
1 Pad Thai with a seafood mix,was very nice,but next time I won't have it so hot as I ordered medium hot and it was too hot for me.(my mistake)
2 Thai salad with seafood was nice,both good sized portions.
There was a good wine selection,by the bottle or glass.
Sapporo beer was good value at $10.00 for a 650 Ml can.
There was no seating with aircon,so it was hot outside.
We will go back and try other meals.well worth a visit.

Last week my wife and I paid a second visit to this restaurant and what a difference!
Entrees: curry puffs ok, nothing special, however the samosas were dry with very little content.
My wife's meal {stir fried rice, with veges, and chicken} the meal was cold, very little chicken and veges consisted of a small amount of frozen peas, carrots and 1 small piece of broccoli. Had the meal reheated but again it was luke warm, served on cold plate.
My choice,: Crispy pork belly with veges. Veges were ok however the crispy pork was soggy, large lumps of glutinous pork fat and would need a microscope to find the pork.
We are in our 70's and have travelled extensively throughout the world, almost 30 countries. Eaten street food in Asia, Fish and chips in newspaper in Uk, dined at the Hyatt in Hawaii and the Royal Hong Kong yacht club. Curries in India and Mauritius and this would have to be just about the worst meal ever.
It was not a cheap lunch having cost us $95 ( including wine) but would be the worst value for money ever.
On first occasion the owner was in the restaurant doing a great PR job and his wife was the chef. This time he was nowhere to be seen, wife in restaurant and a young man on cooking duties .
Whilst paying the bill we commented to the waitress on the register about the poor quality of the meal. We stressed it was no reflection on her she had been excellent.
On first page of their menu the owners ask for feedback so I took the opportunity to email my displeasure, again very measured. The website says a reply will be received shortly. 7 days have passed with no reply so hence this report on Trip Advisor.
Poor food, overpriced - stay away.

A group of 16 of us visited this amazing restaurant on the recommendation of one couple. We were not disappointed. We all had a variety of meals and everyone thought they were delicious. The service was friendly and efficient especially from the lovely Alira. The wine list was extensive and very well priced and the owner Tanju took his time to help us out on several occasions. We will all certainly bring back family and friends. I can't wait to try other dishes.

Excellent all round.
There were 17 of us for dinner on a Friday night, which I figured might cause some panic or disruption at least, with the restaurant already busy as we arrived.
But no! The initial greetings were warm and friendly. The timing and quality of the meals was excellent, and the service was cheerful and no trouble even when it came to adapting a vegan meal.
Although we were the last to finish our meals, our host was in hurry for us to leave, even encouraging us relax and take out time, while the staff were clearing up and preparing for the next day.
It was splendid evening in every way.

We have been to every single Thai restaurant on the Sunshine Coast for the last 30 years and I can say categorically that Thai Tong is the best Thai restaurant on the coast. The food is original and outstanding, with great service and atmosphere to match. Will be back đź‘Ś

Consistency seems a difficult achievement in the restaurant game.
Not for Thai Tong they consistently provide a wonderful dining experience.
Try the Duck Salad it's a taste sensation or our favourite Yellow curry.

Very cute restaurant and lovely staff. The food though was not good. Entree fish was out of the freezer and served with supermarket sweet chili sauce. Chicken skewers were good but again served with a satay sauce which was store bought (Masterfoods?). Main meals: Larb and a stir fry beef dish. Steamed rice was nice but the larb was full of lemon juice out of a bottle. So strong was the flavour that I couldn't eat it. Stir fry beef flavour was good, but the sauce was a little watery. Sticky coconut rice dessert with mango was pretty good. $129 for dinner (including a beer and tea) but it wasn't good enough at that price. Unlikely to go back.

The food was excellent, the staff attentive. There were a number of choices on the menu, the meals we chose was well presented and taste was excellent . The wine list had quantity wines listed and a variety to choose from.
I would highly recommend this restaurant.
I am passing through the area in a few weeks and staying 40 minutes away, I will be making a booking again.
Well done to the owner, chef and staff !

Had a takeaway from Thai Tong this evening and it was superb. The wife and I had an assortment of dishes and they were all superb, especially the garlic and pepper chicken.
The restaurant looks nice and cosy and was quite full and the staff I dealt with were very pleasant too.
I’ll eat at the restaurant next time.

Went for lunch, food was so good, we could have stayed for dinner too.
We ordered three starters and three mains between three of us and every dish was fantastic. Service was great too with everything running smoothly. Really glad we booked as even for a Tuesday, all tables were taken.
Making plans to go back again a week later.

Superb food matched only by the outstanding service. Friday night out with a few friends and the food was up there with the best Asian food we have had. The staff were knowledgeable about the food and their attention to great service was outstanding. Overall a really wonderful night out in every respect.

Found this place when having an overnight stop at yandina on our way back to the NT.
We ordered laskas and were not let down. The laskas was creamy and flavourful we would definitely grab food here again when we travel back through in the future.

We decided to try take away after friends stating the quality of food had improved. We were very disappointed! We asked for very spicy but there appeared to be no chilli. The dishes had so much liquid with very little meat. We won’t be going back and we are locals.
