This is like a big open canteen and is very noisy with a lot of echo. Apart from that it’s a giant improvement on the old ugly Chinese Graceland that was there before. The food is decent enough, there’s WiFi. Good for families

This was the best meal we've had on Achill Island. Galician Have was superb, service was quick and children's food was on the table with our starters. Great service.

Stopped in to the Bayside for an evening meal while staying in a guesthouse across the road, the Stella Maris. Had a lovely meal, the waitress was very warm, chatty and friendly.

I totally understand the situation with students it is the same in all rural areas. Unfortunately after trying a few places in Achill during our visit there you unfortunately seem to have been left with some of the worst. They have no interest in customer service or friendliness just seem to be clocking in their time to get paid at the end of the week. It makes the customers experience much more enjoyable if you have friendly staff who take a genuine interest in the customer. My family were so warmly welcomed last year the children looked forward to going back to see the nice lady who spoke to them , she even gave them a hug when they were going. I really hope you get your staff sorted soon or you may be left at the end of what is a very short season scratching your heads wondering what went wrong. Thank you for taking the time to reply to my query and I wish you luck for the remainder of your season.

Thank you for taking the time to ask us this question. On a place like Achill Island main workforce for seasonal businesses are local students. They eventually graduate and move on to do different things. This year we had... More
