Sitting with a cold beer at the Zion reggae bar is a great way to see life on chawang beach. The chap serving is friendly and polite and the beers are well chilled. Lovely sitting on the beach in the sunshine and looking out to sea or just watching the ebb and flow of beach life. Definitely worth dropping in... More

No cover charge and that's a plus. I have been many times over the years so, I guess I like it. The photo on this site is somewhat misleading as the Pub is not on the beach and not the one on the main page. Its down a lane, push past the bars of the red light bar district, on... More

I like the location, it is by the lake so for those who want to stay low key can sit near the lake and enjoy the breeze. The main body is huge, but not many customers when we were there. Live music was played and it was a great band. Although the male vocalist's performance was not that impressive, other... More

I only went there twice for a drink and it was really fun! Beers are not that expensive, setting is nice, and there is a reggae live band every day, great! Yahoo you have the choice to sit at the bar, or at tables around a dance floor. After 11 pm, club musik is playing. And before the band arrives... More

Far enough away from the doof doof night clubs, this place plays chilled out music, at a level where you can have a conversation with the people you are with, while sipping on your bucket cocktail.

Its a huge place as compared to other near by attraction. Though seemed to be a little empty and the party only starts after midnight . It is a nice place to hangout for Reggae fans. Though the two things which might sound funny but were a little uncomfortable were the amount of mosquitos and the funny barstools.

My wife and I enjoyed a cocktail here (Reggae Pub - Chaweng) at 7pm on a Friday night. We were the only ones there, so it was easy to hear one another with no advertising loud speakers from the street traffic. We left at 8pm as band wasn't going to start til 10pm. There is a nice view of Chaweng... More

Actually quite a nice place to have a drink near the lake. It was pretty empty when we went (about 9:30pm and off-season) but reasonably priced drinks and attentive staff. I'd have expected reggae music but they had a very average small local band playing pop-songs.
