A small local and unpretentious restaurant well worth visiting. It is at the end of the parking lot, just across from Eckmuhl lighthouse. The food prepared by Clementine is fresh and delicious. Her husband Samuel is a wonderful waiter and speaks english and german. Prices are moderate. Meat and fish both excellent. In sum, a great place.

Title says it all I suppose, we climbed the lighthouse and after all those steps needed something to 'top us all up' I hade a savoury crepe and my partner had the mussels, cooked in wine, onions, garlic and parsley. She said they were the best so far in our 16 day trip and who am I to argue. The... More

The restaurant was fully booked but we were seated outside and then delighted when the lovely staff brought us cushions and blankets for when the sun went down and the benches got hard. As it was, it was a glorious warm evening and the food and wine kept us very happy. The food was delicious: perfectly cooked beef and melting... More

The service is very friendly but we had no luck with the food. The bread was ok. The meat was hard to chew and the shells were very sandy. Desert was ok but no big surprise. We were disappointed because of the good reviews.

Lovely setting, it was quiet for our visit, and we had time to chat with the Owners. Food was outstanding! Would love to return, but so happy we traveled from America and found such a great meal in Penmarch. Prices are mid range, but the execution is top notch.

This restaurant was so good we ended up visiting it twice during our one week holiday. The menu is quite limited but this is not a criticism, it means that everything on the menu is perfectly executed. Seafood dominates the menu as you would expect, which is written up on portable blackboards. The portion sizes ensure you have room for... More

Visited on the strength of Trip Advisor reviews and were not disappointed. Lucky to get a table for lunch, we enjoyed a delicious three courses, a bargain at €15. Every dish was tasty and beautifully cooked, with local ingredients. Dining room is airy and comfortable, and service efficient and professional. Children's offering was excellent value and was beautifully cooked as... More

Fantastic food and service in this unpretentious and wonderdul restaurant. Terrace for those who want to sit outside. Lunch or dinner both delicious and good price/ quality ratio. Both tourists and locals love the place.

This is a gem of a restaurant. The dynamic young husband and wife team that run La Voilerie do the work of several - but they offer incredible service to present truly impressive food. It's haute cuisine in a sweet informal setting and with bistrot prices. The menu offers imaginative reworkings of both local seafood and of French specialities. The... More

"La Voilerie" seems to me to be founded by one or more young people with lots of experience in, and their own opinions on, gastronomy, but without more money, than necessary. (Compared, for example, to "Les Rochers".) What's immediately attracting, is the informal atmosphere inside. It's hardly a surprise, that natives *and* tourists are enjoying themselves. I also liked the... More
