Very casual from the appearance of the restaurant, but very open and unique outdoor setting and indoor both. Honestly did not expect much based on the casual pizza looking environment, but we were amazed by the quality of the food and dishes.! The short rib was probably the best I’ve ever had! And the cheesecake crème brûlée was amazing. Absolutely did not disappoint and I will definitely visit again.!

my sincere gratitude to Fernando and the staff at I-Petra for their amazing help in planning our 21st anniversary dinner.
We had a wonderful time at your restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was perfect. Fernando and his team were so accommodating and helpful in planning our special evening. They took the time to understand our needs and preferences, and they went above and beyond to make sure that our anniversary dinner was everything we had hoped for.
We especially appreciate the fact that Fernando and the staff were able to accommodate our limited Spanish skills. Google Translate was a lifesaver!
We would highly recommend I-Petra to anyone looking for a special dining experience. Thank you again for making our anniversary dinner so memorable.

Love I Petra for the ambiance, the views, the wine, and the yummy yum yum food! The customer service is superb as they made us feel right at home. We stopped by for some appetizers and ended up staying the whole afternoon! Their soft shell crab is to die for paired with some PPVM Chardonnay 🔥Javier’s hospitality was friendly and so much fun. Highly, highly recommend!

Tourists beware – they may try to scam you. My group and I had a very bizarre experience here. We made a reservation for dinner on a Thursday and it was surprisingly empty, despite all of the rave reviews. One couple came the entire time we were there. It started off okay – the waitress was nice at first, but not great. After we ordered drinks and appetizers she didn’t come back to take entrée orders and we had to flag her down. She didn’t speak much English, but that was fine because we had people at the table who spoke Spanish. For both apps and mains she recited the order back to us wrong and we corrected it. But one person still received the wrong entrée and she was very reluctant to switch it for the correct one, which we knew he had ordered. She finally did but it took a long time so it was unfortunate he had to wait and eat alone. In the meantime, most of us did enjoy our food. But the ribeye, which was the priciest item on the menu, was extremely fatty. Based on most of the food, the dinner would have been fine. But when the waitress brought our table of 7 people the check, she told us the credit card machine wasn’t working. I’m sorry, what? This restaurant is in a hotel, and all of the nice places in the Valle area take credit cards. How can you let a table order a $400 meal and not tell them at the beginning that CC won’t be accepted? When we told them we didn’t want to pay with cash and could pay the hotel by CC, she suggested that we do a bank transfer to HER directly and she would pay the cash for our meal. This was truly unbelievable and felt like a scam. Thankfully some of us had cash on us and we were able to scrape together just enough for the bill, which we quickly paid and left at that point. I assume they thought they could get away with this because it was basically empty, but what awful customer service. The view is beautiful, so 1 star for that, and 1 more star for some of the food. But given the cost and experience I strongly recommend avoiding this trap.

Restaurante I Petra is one of my favorite restaurants to visit in Valle De Guadalupe! Not only is the food amazing, but the restaurant is also so uniquely built into the rocks. They have always safely accommodated my food allergies and everything is always delicious. Try to come here at sunset and reserve a terrace table to get the full experience. We love Restaurante I Petra so much we are even hosting one of our wedding events here later this year.

IPetra is an absolute must when in Valle De Guadalupe. The experience is everything you want and expect from Valle. A beautiful view of the mountains and sunset in the evening, great music to set the mood, tasty food with a variety on the menu for everyone in your group and amazing service. We were fortunate to have Fernando and Adrian J. As our servers and manager. They made the best recommendations and made sure we had an amazing experience. They also took the best pictures of our group and made our dinner so memorable.

We had our wedding here on June 25th and it was a phenomenal experience with such an amazing view of the valley. The owner Javier was very attentive and accommodating. Prior to the main event we ate at the restaurant, initially with the owner, and then on our own and the food was amazing! Will definitely be coming back again soon :)

It is beautiful the view, the place in general. However, the service and attention leave much to be desired. First, the Wine Recommendation was terrible, Second we ordered some empanadas and they lasted an hour and a half to leave, when they arrived, they were cold. To top it off, it is an inordinately expensive place for what they offer. Bad the DJ they took, he wasn't even playing.

One of the most amazing places I visited in Mexico.
This restaurant not only has the views, but it also has a great variety of wine and the recent menu change is one of the most amazing culinary experiences is that I’ve ever had.
Great vegan options, steaks and a Mexican fusion cuisine by chef Gerardo is in my humble opinion a must try.
From the appetizers we tried the Tacos de Jaiba, tiradito de atun and my my personal favorite, empanadas de Pork Belly with a apple pure, simply amazing.
We also had Pulpo a las brasas and the beatabel rostizado, I’m telling this place is a must try.

Can’t beat the amazing views! I have been here three times already and seriously can’t get enough of this place. As a vegetarian it’s a bit hard to find good quality food options and this place has the most delicious options! For all of the non-veggie people, they have the best bacon burger ever, according to my fiancé and my sister. Also, did I mention the ridiculously tasty craft cocktails? I love a good wine from Valle, but their mixology is seriously next level.
We love this place and their food and drinks so much that we decided to have our wedding reception here just based on that!

Hidden in the hills as you walk up the trail you’ll be amazed to find this modern desert gem. Music is playing and staff greets you with a big welcome. The guacamole and chips were delicious, we kept asking for more. Omar took great care of us as we were a large group of 12 with picky personalities but he went out of his way to accommodate everyone’s needs i.e vegans, allergies, substitutes no problem. Will definitely come back to visit there sky bar that’s being built!!

I-Petra is by far the best restaurant we’ve experienced since arriving in Baja April 5th. The staff was friendly and accommodating, the ambiance was fantastic, and the food was incredible. Will definitely be back again!

We came here for dinner after wine tasting. The place is very large and the night we were there it was very quiet, but the music was super loud. Food was average, nothing great. It is cold in the area right now, so dress for the weather.

I discovered Restaurante I Petra through this platform, but unfortunately, my experience didn’t live up to the hype. I visited for dinner and found the outdoor setup to be somewhat unsafe—the wooden structure felt a bit wobbly, and I’m a fit person. I’m not sure how the service staff manages it.
I usually write very positive reviews, but I feel it’s important to be honest. While I have nothing against the place, I think there’s room for improvement, especially in their wine selection and food quality. To be honest, I found the overall experience a bit overrated.

Do not skip this hidden gem! This restaurant is amazing and the food is beyond this galaxy. I got the New York steak and the only thing I wish I can change is getting it medium rare vs rare. We had the best server they had to offer, Omar. He made sure to get us our food and drink right away. Highly recommend this place!! You’ll be lucky to get Omar as your server!
