A great tranquil spot to eat in a rainforest jungle Garden. 5 star meals for lunch dinner and even later after a sunset twilght Cayman boat tour. The bar/eatery's gardener and master chef Yamil welcomes everyone warmly. Theres also a fine sound system to please everyones musical vibrations while sharing meals and moments lounging on comfy furninshings.

After having travelled Nicaragua for some time, when we came to El Castillo, we really craved some food which didn't include beans, eggs or fish, so we went to borders Cafe. Good choice for that purpose. You'll find international food there, we had pasta and Tacos. Both was good food. The batidos were excellent. It's pricey, though, but not overpriced,... More

Our guide suggested that we have dinner at Borders Cafe the evening we were staying in El Castillo. We stopped over to meet the owner and put in our special request for dinner mid-afternoon. We went out for a night tour on the river and came back for a late dinner. We had time for several Tonas before our wonderful... More

I have been to Borders several times but only for juice or coffee, we decided to have lunch there, so glad we did😁the salad was perfect and the other choices great, we had fajitas. We will be back. It is not on the main St but go to the Victoria hotel and follow the river to the left.

I stopped with clients here for lunch and we were surprised to see that curry was the specialty of the house and wow it was good, not very spicy but not too mild either just perfect.

Curry with pasta was a first for us but it tasted great. Mild korma like curry sauce with spaghetti was totally unexpected in Nicaragua but a welcome change from rice and beans. We spent a pleasant lunchtime here watching the beautiful birds attracted to the feeding station set up in the yard. A great place to eat, drink and relax... More

I've heard a bunch of great reviews from other Peace Corps Volunteers about this cafe so we decided to check it out on our trip to El Castillo - the food was delicious! We got the curry pasta, vegetables and curry, and pasta with garlic and spices and I would totally recommend each. The owner of the cafe is awesome... More

Just stayed in El Castillo and was able to eat at Borders Cafe for a couple of meals. I had a cream pasta and a tomato pasta and both were delicious! Friends had the cream curry and everyone left extremely satisfied. If you're lucky, there will also be some cute puppies around when you visit this place. It's kind of... More
