Great food and great service on a side street away from the river, but a nice shaded area with trees and a small pond/creek. The curry was especially tasty.

Our third visit to El Castillo and our third time enjoying the well prepared dishes at Borders. There are plenty of places to eat in El Castillo, but few offer such a delicious array. The smoothies are remarkably good. Cone here to eat, you will be glad you did.

I met Jamil (the owner) through a Peace Corps friend who was stationed at a nearby village, and spent some time at Borders during my week long visit. The juices were delicious and their frozen coffee was great since the weather was so hot!

When we arrived, the one worker said he was working alone as his two coworkers had been out partying last night and never returned:) We appreciated his honesty, and rather than ordering food, just had coffee and played cards. Coffee was good, but espresso machine was broken so options were limited. Stray dogs sniffing at your feet during the card... More

I stayed 4 days in El Castillo and I think I went to Border's Cafe at least one a day, for lunch, dinner or just their exquisite frozen coffee. The Border's Cafe has now moved more in the inside of the town and we learnt that the owner (Jamil) is now building a bigger place where he will be able... More

when we stayed in El Castillo, we loved spending some time, relaxing at Borders Café, drinking coffee or one of their delicious juices. Food is also great, lot's of vegetarian options.

Overpriced. Food ave. I've tried it several times. The staff seemed pompous. They seem to take advanage of their location at the river landing.

the best spot in town for a good coffee or meal. They are now in a new location very close to the Hotel Victoria. Great veggie dishes and most of all, friendly staff
