Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We've eaten here often over the years. Unfortunately, on Sunday, my husband's Beef Massaman Curry lunch had a long hair in it. I notified the owner, who then asked me what I wanted him to do about it. I said, "Nothing, I just wanted you...to be aware.". Then, we left. We had planned to order have cakes and coffee but this turned us both off. The owner's attitude was the worst. Won't be back.More

Good service, good food (the cheesy omelette and potato/broccoli soup were first class) and nice ambience are Patch of Country's credentials as another one of Mundaring's excellent cafes.

We had breakfast here and it was delightful. Being by a busy road you will be surprised with the quaint surroundings of this lovely cafe. We sat outside amongst the floral bushes in the garden. My husband had the cooked breakfast and I had BLT...with added avocado. I cannot fault them, delicious. With 2 mugs of coffee it was less than $50 and worth every cent. Service was excellent and there’s also a little gift shop out the back. Support these places, they are few and far between! Highly recommend.More

Initially we were disappointed that Dome is closed, so we tried this little place tucked in behind a most splendid cottage garden. The name A patch of country never appealed (a but cliched) so we’d by passed it previously and because a decent coffee is...too often so hard to come by. But I was proved wrong. The coffees were great! And the apple pie was divine! Had it unheated with a bit of cream. Crust was crunchy, crisp, buttery melt-in-the-mouth. I think a real handmade sweet short crust. Chunky apple filling was a treat - perfectly spiced. The other cakes in the display all looked tantalising, handmade and fresh. Very pleasant staff. Beautiful gardens. We had an impromptu and very happy anniversary morning tea. Highly recommend.More

Another example of a family operated business where the owners clearly care about what they do. I have coffee and scones regularly on Sunday morning and I am never disappointed. It is busy for a very good reason.

I have been here several times. I visit Mundaring fairly regularly Discovered it last year, just looking for a place to have a bite to eat - what a great find! Now, I don't go anywhere else for lunch in Mundaring. Food is always so...yummy you want to eat more, service is friendly and the coffee is incredible. They have other milks for coffee, I have almond milk, which can be tricky in coffee - they get it right every time. The food - I have my favorites - mushroom benny and the big vegetarian breakfast - but in the last couple of visits have tried the specials such as the quinoa salad and broccoli walnut quiche and found them to be absolutely delectable choices. Broccoli walnut quiche was so yummy I would have bought another and taken it home but they sold out! Oh, and let's not forget the other delectable things on offer. The scones with jam and cream are so lovely - and big. My friend and I shared one because we didn't have the room, but for an afternoon tea they would just hit the spot. Have to go visit this place many more times to sample all the delectable looking treats.More
