Starters ok, beef main course poor, tasteless and chewy. Nice to have fresh vegetables. Service, nice greeting but table of regulars was better looked after. Cheap but........

Have often wanted to try this place but always found I was here at the wrong time as it is only open in the evening during high season. Was delighted to book a table for four the other evening. The setting is lovely, looking over the vineyard towards Estepona on a terrace outside a finca. The menu is not extensive... More

Beautiful restaurant set in the hills overlooking vineyards, a mountain and the sea. Ordered the hose white wine which was excellent. Pil pil prawns were amazing and best thing we had for starter (and whole meal). Children's meals were large and good value and devoured. We had fish and leg of lamb for main which were both excellent. Deserts were... More

Lovely restaurant overlooking the vineyards, Sierra Bermeja and views down the coast to Estepona. Unlike those on the beach front the service is excellent, the food well cooked and the wines well chosen. In all great value for money and a fantastic peaceful evening. Well worth the 5 minute drive from the beach. Been twice this summer as we did... More

A very relaxed atmosphere with a friendly reception and service. There is an intimacy that is comes from the feeling that you are visiting a person's home rather than a professional premises. The food was great. Fairly austere, but from an authentic Spanish menu. Pleasant location and view.

To encounter the real old-fashioned Spanish hospitality usually one has to drive up into the mountains. Not necessary anymore: Restaurant Lagar de Herrera has created an Idyllic venue on the edge of the Manilva vineyards almost next to the Mediterranean Coastline. The restaurant offers you a warm and cosy ambience, guaranteeing a nice good quality ecological dinner, modestly priced. Run... More

A beautiful family run restaurant set in the foothills of Manilva and surrounded by the famous muscat vines for which the area is famous. The food is, quite simply, delightful and beautifully served and Wendy ( the owner of the restaurant along with her husband Francisco) are always on hand to advise, and help. There is a super layered terrace... More

Went to El Lagar a few years ago, and it was excellent. We're visiting the same region of Spain again in October and fully intend to pay it another visit. Hope it's still there.
