Massarella''s is a gorgeous Cafe Bar in the heart of the historical English Heritage Village of Saltaire. A warm welcome from staff and seated at a table amongst a beautiful array of wonderful Fine Art work on display in this lovely cafe made our experience more memorable. With lots of choice on the menu from a selection of soups to... More

Having been turned away by staff from the eaterie in Salts Mill due to the waiting times to be seated and then apparently another 40 minutes wait to be served with food we were looking for somewhere to lunch. We were extremely lucky to come across Masserella's. Granny and I had soups and shared a panini and my daughter had... More

This was my first visit here so I was a little bemused when I heard the staff plugging the soups every time they took an order. But having read other reviews & had the experience of a delicious pea & ham soup with a crispy bacon topping, I now see that the soups are the best thing served here. They... More

First time visit to Saltaire(wonderful) and we called in for a snack. The surroundings are charming, staff delightful - and the sticky date cake was divine. The owner actually shared her recipe and baking tips with me which was a real treat .My companions had a pannini and baguette which they declared absolutely delicious.Would love to have tried the soups which sounded... Service was friendly and helpful with a dietary requirement. My cake was lovely, as was my husband's soup, the ambiance with the pictures on the wall made it very pleasant BUT it was a busy Sunday afternoon and I was quite concerned to find when I went to the toilet that the hand drying facilities comprised one very wet towel,... Nothing like Ellen's pea and mint soup to warm you up after a Sunday walk. Excellent. (and thank you for the recipe!)

Our sweet potato soup was delicious. We were delighted that the owner kindly shared her recipe with us so we can try to replicate this at home. Not sure we'll manage to reach her standards but it might be close. Lovely food and prompt, friendly service.

Myself and my two girls aged 6 and 10 were visiting Saltaire for the day and stopped in for lunch. The café was full when we arrived, however the hostess immediately got us a table in the corner that had a reserved sign on it. This is because they reserve the corner tables for families or those with pushchairs, as... More

Went for a cream tea and a latte at lunchtime. The service is exceptional, friendly and personal. What I had was first class. I will definitely return and I would recommend it to anyone. Go there with confidence.

Really nice calm atmosphere, nice cakes and sandwiches. Not cheap but worth the treat. The lady running the cafe was very friendly. Perfect location for stopping for a drink etc whilst wandering through the village sightseeing.
