We spent 4 weeks visiting places in both Tuscany and Umbria in October. We were lucky enough to have had fine food and wine along the way. But we think that our lunch at Enoteca Properzio was the finest. We started with the bruschetta mista, topped with beautiful olive oils, tartufo, and delicious tomatoes. Then followed with lasagna with wild... More

Our family had the pleasure of joining Luca and his father, 7th and 8th generation sommeliers and wine merchants, at Enoteca Properzio for dinner and wine tasting. While Luca presented and educated us on each of our wines and meal pairings, Roberto led us through the swirling, observing and tasting. We had bruschetta with the most amazing olive oils, fresh... We have been to this amazing wine bar and restaurant many times and are always warmly greeted by the family. The food is the very best local produce, simply prepared and delicious. They take great pride in explaining the best local wines and olive oils as well as ensuring the wines complement the food. Their degustazione menu is highly recommended.... More

If going during 'season' a reservation is recommended because it's a very small osteria with a handful of tables. Once you are 'in' be prepared to be spoiled by owner Roberto Angelini and his young son Luca. No menus here, only 'Trust me You'll like it' on offer. We spent two hours on a tasting menu and lots of excellent... More

This is my second visit to Spello and this time I stayed at the Angelina family's Palazzo Dei Canonici apartment which was incredible! They made me feel like part of the family for four days and that is no exaggeration. The extremely reasonable cost of the apartment included meals at the Enoteca which were fantastic. I also booked a private... More

We intended to make a quick stop to pick up some EVOO, well we spent almost three hours, the family made this so easy. Luca, thank you so much for your generosity, knowledge, and excellent customer service! Your wine selections and the food were superb! I really enjoyed every minute of your and your family's company. Now I have a... More

This was my first trip to Italy. I most enjoyed the friendly, peaceful atmosphere of Spello! During my stay, I ate at a charming restaurant called Enoteca Properzio. The staff was wonderful at providing history on wines and foods served to us. They could not have been more helpful and kind at assisting us make great choice from the menu.... More

My sister and I traveled to Italy for the first time, making our way from Venice to Florence to Spello and finally to Rome. Although we enjoyed the food throughout all of Italy, our experience at Enoteca Properzio was exceptional. I honestly cannot say enough about the hospitality, as well as the food & wine. The Angelini family were the... More

My husband and I decided to celebrate joint milestone birthdays in Italy with six of our friends. It was important to my husband and me to include on this visit a return to Spello for the Infiorata ( we experienced the Infiorata for the first time in 1998). As part of our visit to Spello we also wanted to return... More

My wife and I have been in Italy for 3 weeks. We have eaten everywhere from Rome, Florence, Venice to Cinqueterre. Although the food throughout Italy was good. Our experience at Enoteca Properzio in Spello was that amazing experience you dream about when you come to Italy! Luca's knowledge of the local cuisine, wine and olive oil was amazing. My... More

Enoteca Properzio 2 , also protected by the Fine Arts, comes from the requeirement to offer customers a greater and more impressive space compared to the original Properzio 1.
