We had dinner here twice. There are no menus, and very little spoken english. On our first dinner, we were offered a house wine, $15 for 2 course dinner, $20 - for 3 course, $25 - everything. We settled of 2 course, and had pretty decent antipasti and pasta. On our second dinner, a few days later, rules changed, and... More

This small and bustling osteria offers a limited daily menu of tasty pasta based meals. If you are looking for variety, or gluten free options, you may be disappointed. The price is fair for ample homemade pasta and sauces, friendly service, with a local village feel. It is difficult to get a table without a reservation, so arrive early or... More

A very small restaurant seating about 20 max. Suggest booking in advance. Run by two very nice ladies. One seems to cook and the other tells/ suggests what you should have. The menu board outside is what they do - not what is on that evening !! Cash only. We had antipasti. Suggest 1 between 2. It filled us. One... More

A perfect little rustic restaurant in the Umbrian hills. We stayed in Spello for 5 days and fell into this charming eatery on our final night. No more than 15-16 covers but the food was first class. I had a pork ragu spaghetti for my favourite dish. Stunning! They also had a great range of really good wines and all... More

We stumbled in here on our first night in Spello and although the simple interior might put you aff a little, this is is a taste of simple, but gorgeous, Italian cusine. The menu was in the waitress head and she named a few kinds of pastas and meats and she came back with a couple of very tasty dishes.... More

There is no menu, when we asked the woman who worked here said "I am the manu", meaning she would tell us what they had. We loved this place. I only wished we could speak some more italian. We ordered today special and it was a lot of food. Excellent pasta. The local workers ate their lunch here, that is... More

Looked busy so thought we'd give it a try. Pasta primi with porcini mushrooms and zucchini was overcooked, swimming in oil and had so much salt in it it was a medical hazard. Secondi OK but nothing to write home about - over cooked lamb and chewy beef - and again way too salty. Wine wasn't great either - had... More

This is run by two ladies (may well be sisters) - one cooks, the other serves. Although there is a menu board displayed outside, none are available inside. You are greeted with enthusiasm and then given the specials of the day - which is the menu. Very little English is spoken so it is trial and error. This adds to... More

This little family run restaurant has changed very little over the years. It is based on tradition and oozes low key charm. You need to book early or arrive early as it gets full quickly. Tasty dishes and very good prices. I find some of the food too salty for my taste and so I ask for "no added salt"... More
