We decided to eat at this restaurant after reading previous reviews on Trip Advisor, and we were not disappointed. My wife and I both chose a Beef roast lunch. We didn't have to wait long before it was served and It looked very appetising, the plates were full with slices of beef, roast potatoes and vegetables and then even more... More

The team at Plas Yn Dre were superb in organising my Father's 80th birthday lunch. The food was excellent and the staff could not be more helpful. Children were catered for with ease and the staff were very patient. I liaised with Mandy on several occasions when planning the event - she was excellent.

What an excellent Carvery Dinner at this restaurant/tavern. On a recent visit and requiring a meal we called at this eatery and were not disappointed. We were served by to young men at the carvery. Slices of Pork and beef were at an abundance. Boiled, roast, yorkshire pudding, and plenty of choiced vegetables. The food was hot and delicious. Sweet... More

After checking out local restaurants I'm Bala, we decided on this one. We were not disappointed - the service and food were very good and total value for money. Portions were above average and very tasty. We visited in late season but from the outside appearance feel that it would be very busy during summer evenings.

Initially this looked like a run of the mill pub with food, but it served well made , good food, great desserts which the kids loved, and service was quick and friendly despite the fact that the server seemed to be doing everything, but was doing it very well ! Dog friendly as well and very welcoming. A good find... More

Decent high quality food. It's obviously pretty popular, even out of season, so booking is certainly essential.

We stopped here for a late lunch while camping near by. We were given a friendly welcome on arrival. The menu was compact with no vegetarian choice of main. Luckily I eat fish, so went with the only non meat option of scampi and chips whilst my mother had the roast. We both had a starter each which the portions... More

Lovely restaurant, amazing food, and very attentive and friendly staff. We were visiting family in Bala and really enjoyed our evening at the Plas-Yn-Dre. Three of our party had the steak, which was cooked to perfection and my lasagna was the best I have ever tasted. The menu has a good selection and we were informed by one of the... More

Stopped on our way to the coast and only because the reviews were so good. To start with slightly off putting as it was completely empty - we had a window seat and eventually a couple of other tables were taken. Limited choice - we had a couple of diners who only eat fish and not meat but we managed... More

We had a late Sunday lunch so the Plas-Yn-Dre was quiet. I am sure at peak times it will be crowded as it is very popular. The starters were all very good. We then had two Sunday lunches, special burger and lasagne. All dishes were very tasty and generous portions. Highly recommended
