Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went to Dutchy’s for our weekly Friday pie 🥧 morning. As usual an excellent pie & great service. We go all over the Sunshine Coast and Dutchy’s is right up there. Would highly recommend.

Great little bakery. Limited seating (outside but under cover) in a little shopping centre in Sippy Downs, QLD (there’s another branch at Brightwater). Staff are very friendly and the coffee is very good. Lovely range of breads, pastries and other bakery delights, as well as...lots of Dutch specialties. Cherry Linbeck is delicious. Their vanilla slice is the best I’ve ever had (and I’m a VS snob) and the crumble on their apple crumble is to die for. Some gluten and dairy-free options are available. Dutchy is passionate about his craft and is glad for a chat when he’s around (he has a VERY early start each day). There’s usually plenty of on-site parking.More

As close as the Dutch snacks, cakes and savouries can taste to the real deal. We ordered kroketten (croquettes) on a bread roll, the apples crumble pie and the sausage roll (saucijzenbroodje). Very nice taste and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend...Dutchy Bakery, we will visit again if at the sunshine Coast. B&M. PS try the thin cut white meal bread. Very tasty!More

I was a regular customer of Dutchy at both Sippy Downs and Brightwater but last Thursday I went to the Sippy Downs store and oorder a coffee and food, which I paid for both, my son followed me and ordered a cup of coffee and...gave the women behind the counter his completed coffee card for the free coffee. After we went and sat down she came out of the store and accused us defrauding the store over the free coffee. She said she was the owner. As much as I like Dutchys food I will think twice before going there again. I don't appreciate being accused or abused for something I didn't do.More

Jeroen and his team did such an amezing job! From overseas we ordered a fantastic Dutch surprise pack for my sister who lives up the coast. Friends could pick it up. Especially now during this time travelling is not an option for a long time...it was so great to bring a little Holland to Aussie. Reall nice stuff, especially the breads! Thanks again!More

Actually went to Dutchy’s in Brightwater. We were holidaying on the Sunshine Coast and found Dutchy’s whilst googling for bakeries. Never heard of them before. The lady serving was very friendly and helpful. They offer traditional treats from The Netherlands as well as traditional bakery...items. We tried the oliebol which is a type of donut, vanilla slice, apple crumble and sausage roll. All of them were amazing. My favourite cake is a vanilla slice and it would have to be the best I have ever had. I cannot get over how great it was. I would travel from Brisbane on a day trip to go to Dutchy’s again just to pick up some goodies. Definitely recommend trying Dutchy’s. Could not fault. Mmmmmm.More

Dutchy's made a huge Croquembouche (profiterole tower) for my Dad's 70th birthday party which was awesome. The profiteroles were big, fresh and full of fresh cream, vanilla custard or rum custard. Everyone loved it and came back for more. It was a real talking point...and a beautiful centrepiece on the desert table. Thanks Dutchy and team, really appreciate it.More

BRIGHTWATER REVIEW. Have previously stopped whilst doing some Shopping. Nice little Cafe, and convenient. BUT Surely when you order a Coffee, in a Cup, it could have a Saucer with it. Mine didn't. The contents, the Coffee, was very weak. You shouldn't have to return...it to have it rectified, and I didn't. The Apple Crumble was very Tasty, when you could get at it. Almost bent the Fork getting into it to break a mouthfull off. Very pleasant staff is a real plus.More

I love the fact this is genuine Dutch breads and pastries. The selection of savoury and sweet selections make for a unique change to the usual fare you experience here on the coast. And great coffee by Tim Adams.

My first vanilla slice in over a month saw me head to Dutchy’s Bakehouse, some 1748km from home. Of course I was on holiday in the Sunshine Coast and searched for places nearby to grab one. Dutchy’s popped up on Google and my family and...I swung by for morning tea en route to Australia Zoo. We were met with a warm Dutch welcome, offered freshly baked (still warm) ginger biscotti and there was even some chocolate croissant tasters to enjoy prior to even placing our order. My two young children loved the selection of games and activities placed on the tables whilst Mrs B and I washed down our cakes with a coffee. The actual item in question was not only glamorous to look at, but thoroughly delicious and made with real passion. The pastry was outstanding, delectably thin and golden, flaky to to the bite and coated in finely spread Belgian chocolate to stop the moisture of the custard seeping in. The custard looked claggy for want of a better word but was utterly delicious, it’s texture was smooth, creamy and packed with vanilla, not set as I initially suspected. On top of the custard lay a hefty layer of beautifully whipped, fresh vanilla cream. The glossy, white icing contained yet more Belgian chocolate that added a beautiful bitterness against the sweetness of the other ingredients. The pastry chef came out to chat with us further and the chefs wife also stopped to ensure we had a good experience. Mrs B thoroughly enjoyed her buttery chocolate croissant and the coffees too were top notch. An awesome bakery, lovely staff and quality products on offer. Potentially pricey for some, but I personally don’t mind paying a little more for quality. Full review on The Snot Blog.More
