My wife and I popped in for lunch. On the menu corned beef hash intrigued I opted for this choice. I have never eaten this dish before it arrived at our table along with red onion marmalade and my favourite pickled onions and to cut a long story short I am glad I experienced my first corned beef hash at... We called in towards the end of the day - we fancied fruit cake with cheese... we got served an awesome boiled fruit cake with a large slice of Wensleydale cheese! Table service and well looked after we were too, thanks for creating an excellent place for homemade cakes and freshly made brews.

Just a stop off after an 11 mile walk around Masham. Very nice - toasted bacon and cheese sandwich was one of the nicest I've tasted. Coffee, tea and scone all presented and served really nicely

I was stood at the takeaway hatch for 5 minutes to not be acknowledged by either of member of staff working there. One of the members of staff was talking on her mobile phone, looking straight at me, when she finished her call there was no acknowledgement from her to me telling me she will be with me shortly, she... The wife and I shared a pot of tea and a homemade cake apiece on a recent visit. Sat on the tables outside on a lovely sunny afternoon. All very nice.

The day we visited for lunch was very warm & sunny the cafe was therefore very busy.We both ordered egg & chips with tea & bread & butter. The waitress informed us that as one of the staff had not turned up it would be about a twenty minute wait. When the food arrived the eggs were nicely done as were... More

A very busy restaurant. We had tea and cakes which were nice but the service was poor, they forgot part of the order and the cutlery, and there was no sugar to be found. We had to hunt down the serving staff who were not that interested.

Visited here one lunchtime after a riverside walk. It took some considerable time to get to place the order as there appeared to only be one member of staff out front who was capable and was trying to do everything at once. Food arrived some time later and was reasonably tasty but nothing to write home about. Whole experience underwhelming... More
