After a day of sampling fine ale we thought masham had nothing more to show us until we found the Bruce. Its a lovely little pub with lots of great ales and craft gins, we spent the afternoon sampling their range and eating chips. Fantastic!

With typical Yorkshire hospitality and good food, the Bruce is a great pub; if a little basic. The menu is not that exciting, but the offerings are tasty, well proportioned and good value. Would particularly recommend the haddock!... and a range of draught Theakstones is...More

We called in one Saturday evening for a swift half and the people were friendly and the place busy and welcoming. Although we only had drinks we would definitely go back and try the food in future.

We tried to book Sunday lunch but been told in very unfriendly way that lunch is served until 2 pm. Walking into pub we had feeling that we are not welcome as we are not local. Did not try food as wasn`t feeling comfortable.

Wonderful food with nice portion sizes and prices were reasonable. Atmosphere was lovely with open fires and all local draft beers.

Description
The Bruce Arms pub sits to the north side of the historic market square in Masham, North Yorkshire, offering real ales and a selection of spirits, lagers and wines along with homemade food. Our huge beer garden has a spectacular outlook over the River Ure and Lower Wensleydale, that’s why we call the Bruce Arms ‘the pub with a view’!We also have a children’s play area within the beer garden, while parts of it can be hired for free for outdoor events such as music concerts, theatre and dance shows.
