We first discovered A Rua Fera when we visited Castelbuono last summer, from the villa we were renting in Sant Ambrogio. We had a memorable meal as a family with excellent service and food. The pizzas were the best my sons had tasted and the swordfish and pasta dishes we had were exceptional. We loved it so much that we... More

Dining in the lower terrace with glimpses of the mountains, cool and nice atmosphere. Particularly enjoyed the starter with a selection of 5 local specialities. Caprisione Pizza was also very good. Wine pleasant and cheap - a thoroughly enjoyable evening.

We went on a Wednesday evening and it was very quiet. The waitress did t speak much English but was charming and the food was delicious. The dessert was out of this world. Highly recommend the cannellono

Excellent pasta, meat, and side dishes. Good (but typically indifferent) service. Even the bread was unusually good. Pizzas are only for dinner (although that might be only be during the off season). Highly recommend the pepper beef and the mushroom filled pasta.

One of the best pizzas in town. In autumn is specially good the one with mushrooms. A cosy place with agood selection of wines.

The place was recommended by our local hosts in the town of castelbuono. Fast service, helpful staff, nice location. We have had the "cozze" black mussels as starter and local pasta, both a great choice. Price was reasonable, would go again.

This restaurant is a bit hidden and we never would have gone there if it hadn't been recommended by Lonely Planet. We were not disappointed, the pasta was good and portions big. Also, the interior was nice, kind of rustically with vaulted arches. Prices are cheap. Two portions of pasta with a big bottle of water and service fee just... More

Decent enough pizza place, one very over worked waiter rushing around all over the show. Only order one course, the pizza alone was enough to feed about four people! Nice authentic Italian feel no Sky Sports or roast dinners in sight just Italian families relaxing and chatting.

We visited Castelbuono April 2013 and were recommended this restaurant by the hotel receptionist. It's not on the main street, and wouldn't have found it without proper map indications. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, including pizza, meat and fish. The service staff were very friendly and helpful. Price was average, and quality was very good.
