this is without question the "highest end" restaurant you will run across in this area of tuscany. its beautiful inside and very well appointed. its not a typical tuscan country eatery and i would not necessarily categorize the food as pure italian, let alone tuscan.....perhaps more french than italian. also, do not expect large portions. however, its very good. we... Good food but did not feel Italian. We enjoy the simple local fare that Tuscany is so famous for. This felt like a fine restaurant you find in New York, London or Paris. Not one of the guests there was speaking Italian!

This is a countryside fine dining restaurant, where the tasting menu is built around Antinori wines. I thought the dinner experience was a really great one, one of the best I have had until the last entree. The tasting menu doesn't have any dessert - most likely due to the Antinori wine pairing where they do not want to take... More

Eat here 5 times, 3 times very well and twice could not stop themselves to screw the foreigner with a reheated pizza and leftover sauces. Service depends on the mood of the day and avoid going there when a football game is on or during tourist season

Our Concierge at Casa Lucardo, recommended the restaurant for an exceptional dinner. It was our first night in Lucardo and to drive on the countryside narrow roads was a mental challenge, but we got there in under an hour. We would have loved to get there well before sunset to enjoy the town and experience the area more, but that... More

The tour, tasting, and dinner were well worth the money. We were more than pleased with our whole experience.

The food is excellent with a good (but quite expensive) wine pairing menu (120 euros). We have been able to taste the best of the italian cuisine with excellent wine. The only regret is really on the dessert side and the coffee side. The dessert in the menu is only tiny small pieces that we would have expected with the... More

A large group of us had rented a villa in Tuscany. I had heard about the restaurant from a friend and even though it was over an hour away, we decided to go for lunch. We got there a little late and even though the restaurant was technically closing, they let us come in and eat. We were 16 adults... More

This place is a gem. We had reservations for lunch on our ten year anniversary. After getting somewhat lost in the hills of Chianti, we were very late. They kept our table and were very accomodating. We did the five course tasting menu with paired wines. The power went out halfway through and they lit candles while not missing a... More

You should expect an upscale but unstuffy dining room with very small portions. This place is expensive and it's because the plates are so small, they add up quickly. That said, the few bites of food are really delicious and it's a spin on Tuscan food that's worth the adventure. Great bread and sauces. Attentive service, air conditioning, clean bathrooms....
