Came back a couple of days ago and this is the first review of the restaurants and bars we visited around Ammoudara (and Gouves). My wife and I ate here 4 times, once for lunch and 3 times at night. The restaurant is sober but very tasteful, both in it's overal presentation and it's authentic food. So here's what we... More

Me and my wife have been in different taverns in Crete, but we think Aris Katerina is the best. Very pleasant atmosphere, very tasty and fresh food. The family that owns the taverna is very nice and friendly.

We ate here several times because of the quality fish freshly caught by the owners son that morning and the great hospitality would recommend this place above all other restaurants in the area missing it now back in Blighty in October

On the next table the owner family and their friends were eating, so thanks to the low season with less guests they had time to have chat with... More

The best local food and owner is a great guy. Most of his products are from his farm, like Olive oil and vegetables and wine and Raki. Every day his wife cooks fresh daily specials. We are going here every day since we found it. I can not recommend any place more in Ammoudara. Next year we are here again!

My boyfriend and I tried this restaurant for lunch and dinner. The owner is very friendly and we felt the true greek ospitality. The white wine was really good, the tzatziki and the fishes were very delicious. For me it was the best restaurant for quality of food and price in all the vacations.
