They use real bread (not the sugary brioche that is so popular these days)! On top of the that, the meat was genuinely good quality. The sauce as fresh. The bread was fresh. The chips were great. The humble burger and chips is perfected through good quality ingredients and freshness.

One of the nicest burgers we’ve had in a long time. My chicken was tender, juicy and so delicious. I heard no complaints from my hubby so that’s a great sign 😊. The chips were crunchy and the dab of aioli with them was a real treat. They have toilets there but don’t expect a quick visit as there are a few posters for you to look at. The man behind the counter was friendly. If you don’t want to eat there just head a few kilometers up the road to the beach and enjoy your magnificent burger by the magical beach.

We stopped in during some crazy rainy weather which meant most of the beer garden tables were wet and we chose not to sit inside due to COVID etc - sitting out the front was fine. The food was fantastic (kids burgers, Surf Burger and From The Sea salad) and the staff were very helpful and relaxed. The decor is rustic and eclectic and a bit of good fun. Bathroom/storage cupboard could do with a tidy and clean up but usable. Will return :)

We visited during the peak season so of course everything was crazy and things will be lost in translation but the main reason for going is that they had gluten free options available and we had someone with celiac disease in our group. We ordered normal burgers for us and a gluten free burger for 1 person in our group. The service was fast and when all the burgers came out we asked the server which one the gluten free burger was, the server said there was no gluten free but he can quickly change the buns, no big drama and during the busy season things can be lost in translation.
Well next thing the owner of the restaurant comes out aggressively saying he had a gluten free bun “laying around” and next time we need to tell them that we wanted gluten free while ordering. We quickly defended ourselves saying we did order gluten free but he snapped back that “nothing was written on the order” which was written by his staff. So clearly there was a misunderstanding, we didn’t care about the mix up and it was an easy fix but the aggression and arrogance of the owner coming out to specifically blame the mix up on us, ruined our entire meal. We felt very unwelcomed and like we had to leave straight away. Definitely won’t be back or recommend

Positive - staff were nice and friendly. However the chips had way too much salt and the aioli was just chucked into the container. My partner didn't even finish the chicken wings. There was very little chicken, the coating was thick and greasy and the sauce was just thrown into the box, didn't look appealing at all. Disappointing to say the least, especially after reading all the great reviews.

The Classic burger was tasteless and watery. Large chips is more like a small. Seating is old pallets hammered together to create very rickety, unstable seating. Tables are made of the same and are extremely sticky. Staff looked like and spoke like this was the last place they wanted to be. I would order from them again but a different burger for take away.

My wife and 13 year old son dropped in for lunch on our way to the beach at Cape Woolamai. I had the wagyu steak burger, my wife had the chicken and avocado salad and my son had the basic beef burger. We also ordered chips, onion rings and three drinks (two ciders). The total was $70 and I thought that was good value. The buns were good quality and all the food was fresh and tasty.
We sat outside in the beer garden which has a Bali beach hut feel. A few other families joined us in the beer garden and seemed to get their food as promptly as we did.
We didn't have high expectations but were pleasantly surprised and would definitely return.

What a find. Outstanding fresh burgers with quality ingredients made unbelievably fast. Make sure you check out the outside dining out the back - heated and fine for year-round dining, with great eclectic art and vintage signage. Licensed too. Definitely going to be one of our regulars!

On a chilly Saturday afternoon a friend and I happened upon this food and coffee oasis.
We bought had fish burgers and coffee - plus we hunkered down and defrosted after our 10 k walk.
Fabulously friendly staff.
Food was great and reasonably priced and we were made very welcome.
A place to return to.

Average burgers. Im a coeliac so asked for a GF bun. Was part way through my burger when I realised I had a different type of bun on top of my burger. They mixed the top and bottom of the buns with not gf. Won't be going back

If you ever go to Melbourne I highly recommend going to the Island burger bar in Phillip island, I got the classic burger and the buns were fresh and the beef patty was amazing
