The restaurant is set at a beautiful location overlooking the ocean. Lovely scenery. They have an elaborate menu but most of what we wanted to have from the menu was not available (no hot chocolate, no prawns, no creme brulee no...) - we just kept getting no, no, no... When we finally got something to eat from the menu we... More

The menu is long offering a variety of fish, seafood, chicken, steak, lamb, pasta, curry, etc, etc. The service was very slow. Lots of mozzies so use bug spray.

This is one of our favorite date night spots...amazing views, very relaxing, attentative staff and the food is always amazing. I love the grilled calamari, always fresh and amazing, I adore the profiteroles here, and I do consider myself a profiterole expert ! Definitely use bug spray if you are like me and tend to get attacked by insects, it... More

The restaurant has benefited some face-lift and is still undergoing some constructions in front of it. Meanwhile, the service has gotten better. The food is great because I am a seafood lover: cockles in great quantity, calamary, fresh fish... Great place to be with friends, for a languid afternoon in Dakar, with the view to the sea, the sea breeze...... More

My wife was out of town so I took our three kids to Le Recif for dinner. The staff was friendly and inviting. This restaurant is located on point des almadies, which is the westernmost point in Africa (as so many other reviewers have noted). It is near the US Embassy and the King Fahd hotel (formerly le Meriden). We... More

It's a lovely little restaurant on the westernmost tip of the continent of Africa. We called ahead for our large group of fifteen, and they had the table arranged and even had fans in place to keep us comfortable. The brochette de poisson (grilled fish skewer) was perfectly cooked and delicious. Others in our group enjoyed an excellent curry and... More

This was a great place to spend a quiet evening in Dakar. Excellent seafood and friendly staff. Ocean front on the western most tip of Africa, sunset was awesome. The normal gauntlet of vendors with shirts, paintings and flags out front, but they don't take away from the experience here.

Good, fresh seafood with an impossible-to-beat view makes this place great. Helpful staff also add to the experience, but really, the draw is that this is the westernmost point on the African continent. A huge menu, sometimes not entirely available, mostly of seafood and fish and accompanying details. Good wines available too.

We started with a calamari and fruit salad. Only wish there was more calamari on it. Great attentive service. Had lovely grilled prawns with green beans and a local beer. Nice outdoor seafood restaurant with a view of the ocean. Flower lined walkway and large grass courtyard for children to roam.
