Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The service here was horrible. First, I ordered one particular brand of beer only for the server to leave and then come back to tell me they didn’t have it. Next about ten minutes later they returned to tell me they didn’t have the food...I ordered. After an hour my spouse was informed that they didn’t have the food he ordered.More

Big place in 4 levels so don’t feel too crowded. Good Thai food. Good services. The music started around 7 pm. To see the river runs have to arrive before sunset.

I put 4 stars for the scenery, service quality and their table set up. You can pick outdoor garden zone (I like it), indoor riverbank or private balcony zones. Food are generally okay, nothing special and lack of local specialty. But they do serve some...good local microbrew beers.More

This was a surprise to me as I did not expect how nice the restaurant was before walking in. Good and attentive service and very good food at reasonable prices. Even at very busy night with full house the staff did a great job and...the food came quickly. Will be back soon.More

Tak is so Thai centric, it’s well nigh impossible to find a remotely suitable SEA venue (forget a European joint here - there isn’t one) but Aiyara (its full name - Aiyarawadi - is I think a corruption of Irrawaddy, thus having Burmese connections possibly)...well worth the effort needed to drive over to the other bank and visit this riverside venue. Tiered upwards from the river to a glass enclosed air con room at the entrance, it’s best to aim for a table from the middle downwards to preserve the eardrums from the local band. The menu is not over extensive but good; we had ribs in garlic, and pork strips, with a white snapper poached in lime and pepper sauce that fell off the bone. A plate of (very good, but unordered) chips arrived, maybe as a tribute to our origins, and the staff - for a busy restaurant - were highly attentive. Prices were very reasonable, the fish being the most expensive at R300+, but all very enjoyable. The place caters mainly for parties of 8+ so getting a good table for 2 can be a battle, but the staff do their best. We’re back in Tak for a night in a couple of weeks and will definitely return.More

Life music - can only be avoided by sitting in a freezing air conditioned room like a glass cage. The restaurant pretends to be upper class, but it isn't. Toilets were not well looked after Food was far from special, rather average. They didn't seem...to understand 'without chili'.More

We dined here by chance in Muang Tak, Thailand. I believe the owner actually is the chef, and perhaps it is a hobby for him. The food is outstanding Thai food - the quality is very high and remarkably, the taste is balanced. It is...hard to get food at restaurants with such a balanced taste. The presentation is lovely. My wife and I eat out all the time, and this is easily one of the best restaurants we have visited in Thailand. Additionally, it is inexpensive! We ate there twice in 4 days, and would very highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Tak. In fact, I would say "people have to go!". The name of the restaurant is Iyarawadee.More

My wife and I were recommended this restaurant by the receptionist of the hotel we were staying in. Actually the restaurant itself transliterates its name as "Iyarawadee" and this is on the signage outside as well as on their business card. If you are staying...in the main town (on the eastern side of the river), then cross the river via the bridge on the north side of town, turn right and you will find Iyarawadee about 1KM up on the right next to another bar/restaurant. Situated on the western bank of the River Ping, the restaurant is on three levels with the lowest level right down by the water. The menu is traditional Thai and we enjoyed the food and atmosphere so much that we returned a few days later with some friends and had an equally good time. The fried morning glory with chilli, pork chop on a hot plate, fish Tom Yum, crispy fried chicken, and chicken with basil and chilli ("Kra-pao Gai") were all excellent. For a busy restaurant, service was very efficient and the staff attentive and friendly. Prices are not high at all - including drinks it was less than $10 per head. Early evening the music is recorded (jazz) and around 8PM a live band provides a good variety of local favorites without being intrusively loud. I'm glad that we found this place as we pass through Tak quite regularly and until now had not found a decent place to stop off at for a meal.More
