We stopped at this gem on our way to the ferry....what a great stop it was! My husband ordered the steak pan and i had the platter for 1. Both dishes came beautifully presented and were delicious! Our waitress was very sweet and charming, but i did find myself looking for her regularly to place orders. However, the experience was... More

Service was shocking. Waited 90 minutes for our meal which arrived in fits and starts. Main meal with starters. Waiter was not attentive. Terrified to order pudding in case that took forever.

This is a wonderful lunch stop with a short menu of very good, wholesome food. The wines on their own are worth stopping for, particularly the whites which seem to do very well in the colder Bredasdorp climate. We will return if ever we pass through this area again.

A very nice setup with place to have a bite while also tasting some wines. Friendly people willing to accommodate and make the wine tasting an informed experience. While we did not eat at this venue, they have an interestig menu with fresh ingredients, some harvested from their own vegetable garden at the venue. Worth a visit.

Cars were lined up in the parking bays, we turned around. The very friendly waitress looked doubtful, but asked whether we’d made a reservation. We hadn’t. She couldn’t turn us away of course, Butch’s charm and smile makes it near impossible. In no time she’d organised us drinks (very good beginning), rolled out a bar table and got us seated... More

Description
At the Black Oystercatcher Restaurant, we live by the season. We serve fresh produce that grows in our own garden as the seasons dictate. As a result, we offer a fresh dining experience, set in a relaxed country atmosphere. Here fresh food, complimenting our boutique wines, is prepared to order and enjoyed at leisure. The seasons also determine the mood at this Cape Agulhas restaurant: the refreshing sea breeze will cool you down in summer, or enjoy our cozy log fires in the winter months.
